good to know. We'd of course provide the drill and tap sizes needed, but this will save two components from the package doing this.
we'd only need to provide one static and one vented this way.
So what I am proposing to Lewis that we do:
1.) majority of the overall run done in copper (with genuine mother of pearl inlay)
2.) a VERY limited commemorative luxury run of 15 (serial numbered) in red/rose gold also with the genuine mother of pearl.
the only difference in the kits here would be the copper vs the gold.
once again, I cannot confirm this yet, but we are evaluating whether this might be possible and I am proposing this to Lewis.

that is the idea, yes.
I will keep everyone posted.
In the event that does happen, I will go through the interest list and ask in order for folks if they wish to claim one of the 15, and whether they want to replace their interest for the hilt to the limited edition or whether they want an additional limited edition without losing their spot in the normal copper run.
this is all contingent on feasibility and costs but... this is what we are hoping for to ensure everyone gets what they want.

absolutely no idea yet. Won't have that until specs are done and we have a factory quote.

As #11 on the interest list I can say...I am definitely interested if the rose gold 15 run ends up happening
So put me on the interest list within the interest list haha
I've been watching this thread with even greater interest since people started chatting about rose gold, I'd prefer it over the prop copper. Really into the idea.
Doing a limited run of rose and making the rest prop copper seems reasonable.

Sidenote, that little activation button is pretty! I think it was already discussed that it was probably also mother of pearl, which is likely the correct answer.
It almost gives me the impression of a little quartz pebble recessed into the center of the copper button.
Pretty little thing.
(This below image is the kind of thing I had in mind, though I'm not necessarily saying that's what it is, just what it reminded me of)
That minor recession of the center material with the MOP makes a smooth little groove for the thumb! A nice little touch.

Thank you for doing this, and your care in general about the best outcomes for everyone. I still think that you’re going to find this run is much more sought after than I think you’re expecting it to be, and once you have some images of a sample that can be flashed around I wager you’ll get a heap of interest from outside these boards. I suspect you’ll need to revise your production run estimates, but am glad I posted interest early too, and hope this is able to go ahead!

Why the limit? If 30 people want it, why not do 30?
I mean, i agreed when the difference came up that i like one vs the other frankly. But i go to the bottom of the list because i didn't type it up not knowing that i'd have to later? I can't be the only one like that.
For what it's worth i say that as genuine question and not as a complaint, or anything else.
