Have you confirmed the size of the prop?
If possible, I'd like to know the internal diameter and internal length so I can try designing a cc chassis. This one is going to need it.Rhodium plated brass n polished bronze would be sick.

Thank you, Trump check for making this feasible lol
not FULLY locked in until full assembly is finalized BUT... the internal cavity has not changed in QUITE a while now so it likely is pretty close to final.
1.15" / 29.21mm ID, 6.71" / 170.5mm length for the usable cavity (including switch body section through to pommel).
If you design something cool that would be awesome! I can and have designed chassis but it would be nice to have to take that off my hands.![]()
Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, how long is the switch section in mm?
In all honesty I've only printed basic chassis's and designed a couple cc chassis's but never had them printed.
But I'm confident with the practice I've put in so far that I can design something satisfactory and I'd be more than happy to help.
When I'm finished I'll show ya what I've got and if you like it or don't we can discuss things further from there.![]()
Reading through the last few pages here, I now believe what many others have been saying... The prop was probably made from copper and likely appears lighter on film because the prop was "fresher" (at least in some scenes) and probably appears darker in the archives documentary because the copper had already started aging by then. I suspect it will continue to get even darker over time.
However, some comments here really had me starting to doubt my choice of rose gold, so I went looking for online comparisons of copper vs. rose gold vs. gold. I was starting to worry to myself that rose gold might appear too pink so I began to wonder privately if 'gold' might be better, but then I found this link online: Metal Alloys
The photo below in particular gives me great confidence that the color of "14k rose gold" can look just like the color of 'fresh' copper. This seems like the best choice to me if it doesn't look overly pink and doesn't darken over the long term.
(Note: I'm not expecting that we'll make this out of actual 14k rose gold, but hopefully we can find a surface finish that looks just as good.)
