Just a quick one, visited the machinist this evening who's got the blades set up in the mill to cut the grooves. Looking good. He is also finalising the handle master which'll also be ready soon.

Blade milling is complete, here's one I've quickly gone over with some wet and dry. This is just about how the blade will come in the kit, bar a little surprise I will be offering other finishing services such as edges, polishing, blackening etc, subject to cost. Handle master is also really close to being ready.

It probably could, but would be more trouble than it's worth, I'd rather offer it as an option I can put in with a belt sander if needed. I'll of course test it out and show what it might look like

Hi! all still going. Had some problems with the handle master, which the machinist is currently fixing! Apologies for the delay, but right now know its not me! xD Gotta make sure it is right too before I mould it. He should have it done this week and I'll share when it's ready

Possible in the future, but nothing set up at the moment. Focusing on getting the metal ones as good as possible!

Update 18.02.19
The list is up to date AND I've had news from my machinist that the handle master is done, so should be able to start moulding and casting this weekend, which will be good to get cracking on!

In terms of a second batch, probably if we can get a couple more then I'll get another 10 made up, but that'll most likely be the last (unless there is a major surge in interest xD) so if anyone is on the fence jump in as it'll most likely be the only extra batch.

In terms of pricing I'm in the process of working out the base cost of the kit. There will be optional extras that I can do for additional costs, and will of course take a bit more time than shipping out the standard kit.

Update 24.02.19

I received the handle master, some slight blemishes but otherwise very good, and have since made a silicone mould and have spent today making casts in brown plastic. These are fresh from the mould with no prep or paint

Have also moulded and cold cast in brass some of the discs

Also spent a good portion of yesterday setting up and testing my bench sander to put in bevels on the blade. The results below are from the initial sanding plus a butt ton of hand filing and sanding to get it smooth. It's really hard to capture the shape on camera but feels and looks awesome in person. The bevelling will be an optional extra as it takes a lot of time, and I want to keep the base kit as affordable as possible!

Looking forward to getting these to you guys and seeing what you can do with them!

Update 27.02.19

Starting to look like a thing! test milling of the handles on a junk blade and junk handle cast, meaning it can finally be fitted to give an idea of how the final thing might look!

Also in terms of costings bear with me, I will be putting out info on the kit and different finishing options really soon, which will also have pictures of examples, like the top blade below, so hang in there! Excited to be getting these out in, I expect, a few weeks!

I want these kits to be a lovely thing in of themselves, so they have custom packaging! and extra details and bits and pieces, all of which will be revealed very soon.........or I may leave as a surprise......
