I've recently attended the Motor City Comic Con 2014 on the 18th of May, and brought along Lady Predator for a new outing with improved wrist bracers, and a few other things:
A few updates to this outfit for the upcoming 2015 Motor City Comic Con...
I've wanted to ditch the hair extensions look and go for dreds. So step one was to come up with an undermask small enough to fit this small Bio Mask. My fiance had purchased an undermask for his Celtic Pred which he ultimately didn't use. So I cannibalised it, cut it all up and fashioned it into this:
I'm now working on attaching dreds:
I opted for the shorter Dred look more like P1... I think it works better with the smaller, almost birdlike look of this Bio mask.
I'll be upgrading the suit as well. We're likely only going to have time to re airbrush it this season. But after Comic Con this year I'm going to latex it and add texture.
Also I'm working on a new wrist blade apparatus, and adding a cover to my wrist blades... so watch out for those updates coming soon.
Looks awesome babe. You did just as a awesome job as i knew you would. Maybe this weekend we can take and post some pix of both of us with our full pred masked on
Bunch more upgrades... I've repainted the undersuit, built a new backpack and cannon from scratch, revamped and redesigned the wrist blades (and got them working!)
So Motor City Comic Con 2015 is next week already.... that means I've been in a rush to finish up the last few upgrades to my Lady Predator outfit!

It has been a struggle to decide how a Female Yautja should look, with lots of different interpretations out there. For myself, I've not wanted to go in the direction that most others had... I've wanted to at least make sure I had more "coverage" of the assets so to speak. I'd thought about it as if I were going into battle: I would want my vulnerable parts as protected as possible while still allowing unfettered movement. I adapted the look of the Pred armour that we've seen on screen to suit a female form and went with it.
I have nothing but respect for all of the other Lady Preds out there... I think it's best when we aren't too sexualized.
Your corect about the armour, my girlfriend wants hers more like the bikini pole dancer sort which is nice but its not the sort id want to see in a film. Nipple tassles are not good protection, and we all know how touchy schwarzenegger can get
I agree completely. I'm working on 2 female Preds for my daughters based in the Sheela female and I'm planing on covering quite a bit more. The only reason to have any some nice skin exposure on these builds is to show if the coloring and spot patterns that drew me to this design initially. I'm looking at tackling the armor the same way as you are. I want it to be realistic for battle in design and easy to wear. That's the main reasons for making a 1/2 mask and morph suit instead of full latex.
I think we can all appreciate the ammazing art work on something like the sheela predator but wether or not its a realistic interpretation is up to the individual. I prefer my predators bad ass even though im building the opposit
The Sheela statue was a source of inspiration for me... I particularly liked the thigh armour and the spear (though I didn't end up with either in the end).
I am considering either coating my morph suit in latex after the Con, or I may see if Pete Mander is still offering his Female Pred suit. I loved his skin design and even his face mask (though I'm not a big fan of the NO BIO look) but again wasn't crazy about the armoured bikini.
If I do buy a mander suit I will likely make a new armour set... but I will still keep to my more-is-more design.
