**Update**
Hello there! I'm thinking you're all loooong overdue an update on the progress of the run...
I've been insanely busy working my way though batch 2 of both the V2s and the Obi Stunts.
Batch One have all been completed for some time now (apart from the levers of course):
The V2 at the front there is this idealised commission with no damage/A14. Really liked how this one turned out:
I just finished up the painting on batch two of the Obi Stunts. There are no Obi stunts in batch three, so this means
ALL of the Obi stunts are now painted:
These still need a little tidying up around the clamp section, and the paint damage applying for those who have asked for it. Very happy with the neck sections though
The V2's are well on their way too. The process of cutting and weeding the stencils is always a long and laborious task, but that's all done for this batch now and those that are not being darkened have had their stencils applied:
I'll be making a start on the emitter bending and pommel damage for the darkened commissions tomorrow, with a view to applying the A14 by the end of the week. So
next week will be V2 painting week
This run has been an incredible amount of work for just one person, but I'm aware that it has been a long time for those who are waiting too, so
I'm really very grateful for the patience that everyone has shown. As you know, there have been various delays as well as last minute revelations that impacted the design, pushing back the start of production. Everything is moving along now at a good pace though, and it's looking like the Levers could finally be arriving soon too!
You might have noticed that I have been selling a few items on the Junkyard. Currently, I'm in a situation where I have finished commissions, but am unable to ship, or take final payments until the levers arrive, so it was lucky that I was able to find a few vintage parts that I've been able to sell at a profit. It should see me get by until I can start shipping out commissions thankfully.
This is in no way Roy's fault. I can't stress that enough and I can assure you, we are both as frustrated as everyone else.
Apparently, there has been another Covid 19 lockdown through March that has affected the main manufacturing districts in China. This is why the replacement levers have taken so long.
That said, according to various news sources, this lockdown was lifted this week, so hopefully, things will be moving again now! They did have a lead time of March 25th anyway, but of course the lockdown may well have pushed it back a week or so.
I'd just like to reiterate my appreciation for the incredible patience you've all shown!
For all those waiting on DIY Kits, here's a little teaser, just to show that they really are ready and waiting! As soon as they're complete, they'll be on their way!
For now, I'll just keep working my way though everything, and I'll try to keep you all updated as often as I can. Please feel free to contact me should you have any concerns! And if you're on Instagram, I do post the occasional update on there too:
