Done / Completed Blade Runner 2049 blaster replacement metal Cylinder ** Production OVER **

Hi everyone,

First and foremost, I'm sorry this is taking such a long time to finish up. It's been a crazy time since kicking off this run.

Things are slow to say the least. Once the C-19 restrictions eased up out here, we got slammed with orders and from about the start of June it has been full-throttle to meet production. Overwhelmed at work, working 12-14 hours, 6-days AND training 2 new guys isn't fun. I went from having a few hours after work to chip away at them to just enough time to make something to eat, shower and sleep before doing it all again. Thankfully, we're closing in August, so there's only about 10 days left of this chaos before I can relax and concentrate on finishing up the run.

I'll be using that time to wrap things up and update as I move things along.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy.

Hi Teddz, Would it still be possible to join the run for a blued steel Tomen version of the cylinder. I know things have been tough going so far, so if not no worries. Cheers John

Teddz, I posted earlier, but I understand if it got missed. Definitely interested in a barrel and cylinder as well. Is it possible to get on the list?

Here's an update for everyone... It's why I say there's still room for people to get in on the run.

After the first few lathe ops...
Left side: Roughly 56 Tomen barrels. There are more, but forgot to count them as they're sitting in a tub of oil while they await the Mill. Also like 5 or 6 stainless barrels aren't shown.
Right Side: 10 Anders/Doran barrels.. more are coming.
Center: 46 Tomen cylinders.. (40 steel, 6 brass). more are coming.
Behind the WD-40: 1 Sidkit blank, 1 Brass Tomen wrapped in a paper towel to protect the finish and a random dud test piece I've blued.

For those wondering, the aluminum can skins in the upper right are used to protect the machined surface from marring and scratches when I chuck them back on the lathe to complete the boring out after turning to the correct OD and drilling the mounting holes on the mill.

Slugs for 26 more tomen cylinders (16 steel and 10 stainless steel) and 35 more steel barrels for the Anders/Doran PKD versions.

So if you want them, even if the run is over, I'll probably still have a couple in stock. But once I'm out of stock, that's it. I'm taking a brake from these for a bit.
