You sure are optimistic. Unfortunately, those phasers have no moving parts, so they're probably a lot easier for them to churn out. I doubt we'll see their sonic.
Also, since this thread has been so focused on posters, I'm reminded that I still have an Inception poster set aside for you.

QMX will never deliver on a working prop, they released the mal stunt, with promise of a hero version, no hero, they just released the phaser stunt, whitish I got and love, but I doubt they'll release the hero and so on, if they can't even make a metal mal gun, how are they going to make and distribute the working zat, hunk of metal, intricate movable armature. It's been said before, the owners are prop collectors themselves, they got the liscences so they can make the great stuff for themselves and fund the buisness with paper props and stunt props, plane and simple, give the liscence to people who will produce.

This is so crap. Why obtain a license, announce a number of eagerly awaited product then do absoloutly nothing about it for a year? 'They're working on it'... how long does that take? Well, the MFX took a long time to come to fruition, so maybe its par of the course for Sonic replicas. Although there is one notable exception to that rule...

The only reason MFX took so long was because of the EFX involvement, and then them backing out and MFX going solo and in-house. At least we were kept updated with that. QMx have wasted everyones time. I wonder if it was an attempt to reduce sales elsewhere

There is no excuse; why give a license to such an unenthusiastic licensee? It's totally counterintuitive to all parties involved:
(Stating the obvious- but)
BBC- Lack of revenue from the lack of sales for a non-existant product
QMX- Sitting on the license, riling many people who may not have bought their product if it came out anyway.
Public- Sitting, waiting for vapourware doesn't instil confidence, or a compulsion to spend hard earned cash...

O yea, forgot the static farnsworth, then they'll release a working one, the static cost $300, Wonder how much they would charge for acouple LED's, $400, $500? Just thought I'd throw that one out there to go with my other post

Being somewhat new to the world of sonics, is there any other hobby-based "company" doing the Eleven sonic?

Is that exclusively the 11 Sonic, or the other sonics aswell? If so, their ETA of sometime this year has most certainly slipped. It's just getting ridiculous...

I mean, they might as well release the Tom Baker- surely that's the easiest to mass produce and get going, without to many preproduction nightmares- I mean, this has been replicated by many, so i'm sure the designs are floating around.

Exactly, it's hard to imagine anyone who wants a classic sonic who doesn't already own a RB, TLP or Sixteen 12.

That's a no brainer. Typically, a licensee has to pay a pretty hefty fee up front, regardless of whether any product is delivered or not. So BBC makes money if QmX delivers product or not.
And honestly, I seriously doubt there are licensees clamoring for the rights to high end replicas of the sonic screwdriver. Sure, we know of a couple companies but the writing is on the wall. MFX had a hard time moving their entire stock of, how many? 300? Not a huge market for these pieces, despite the interest levels we see on the RPF.
It's really all just simple economics. If QmX can produce a paper prop that costs them close to nothing, and sell it for a high profit margin quickly, then that's the smart thing to do. Conversely, they can sink a bunch of money into a complicated prop that may or may not sell, and then at a smaller profit margin, I think its very reasonable to understand their reluctance.
Please try to remember that the main goal of Qmx is to turn a profit. NOT to provide you with high quality props at an attractive price point. If the latter contributes to the former, then they will do it. I'm sure of it. But don't get confused about their motivations.
