Update: Over the weekend I finished cutting out the remaining tubes. I also cut out several of the caps. Five have been cut out so far. This will I will continue to machine additional caps.

This is just a quick update. I've finished about 6 sets of the caps.
I should have those done by the end of this month.
For those of you who get METV, tonight's episode is "The Naked Time". I actually had the rare opportunity of meeting Stewart Moss who plays Tormolen, the crewman who is the first to be infected with the "space virus". He was definitely a gentleman with a good sense of humor. I was surprised to also catch him on several episodes of Hogan's Heroes, recently.
