Lunar Lander Tourist Trap Diorama - WIP

Hey friends!! I'd like to introduce my newest build. This is part of the same universe of my other ships and things. CQH Aerospace has managed to get the rights to build an observation and exploration outpost near the Apollo 11 lunar landing site. This is part of their solar system tourism department. The concept will be that the tourists will be able to observe the original landing site from the safety of the observation platforms. Tourists won't be allowed to actually walk amongst the original site and equipment as this area has been designated an interplanetary heritage site (in my fictitious world). This is HO-scale but the location of some of the objects won't be to scale due to how large the diorama would need to be. I thought about making it N-scale or even smaller but some of the items are already quite small in HO-scale. I have some fun things in mind for this build with lighting, etc...

I replied to this but didn't see my reply when I checked today. I totally agree. It does remind me of what the build will end up like. It'll be a total commercialization of the lunar surface at some point.

Hey all. It's been a bit since my last post on the lunar diorama. I have been traveling a bit but finally had the opportunity to do some work on it this weekend! Here are a few pictures of the progress... Remember, gotta "see" the finished product when you're looking at these, lol.

This is a bit of an overall look. I created the shuttle in Tinkercad and printed it on my 3d printer. The building is a small museum that the tourists can check out while waiting for their turn to go outside. It will be lit up on the inside. There are will also be two light poles on the walkway that will be in place. The shuttle landing pad will also have lights on it.

This is a closer look at some of the interior of the museum. You can see the small pictures of Armstrong, Collins, and Aldrin on the wall.
