I went to the Vancouver Fan Expo on Friday where I met Billy Dee Williams and got his autograph. I also met some members of the 501st, which was pretty cool. I think it's time for me to join.

Oh wow!!!!!! That is so awesome! I am very jealous!

I dream of getting some ANH stunt armor some day. I've got a rubber DLT-19 just for the day I get around to it:lol:

Saw Billy Dee in 2017, but didn't wait in the line for an autograph. Julian Glover was at the next table over, no line at all. Got his autograph, some pics, and talked with him for a bit about Empire Strikes Back and Last Crusade.

When he signed his autograph, I said " the 11 year old in me is very happy". He said "is that when you first saw Star Wars"? An I said " that's when I saw Empire". To which he replied "time sure flies, doesn't it"? I said, "it sure does".

I was 3 when ESB came out! Even though some of the actors seem annoyed that they are primarily known for these movies, it's still gotta feel good when people come up and say they've been a fan that long!

Well given that most of them are doing the convention circuit I would guess that they must enjoy the attention on some level. Plus it's a paycheck.

I recently watched the Plinkett reviews of the PT and ST, I found them insightful and hilarious. Though the "in between" comedy dragged on quite a bit (sometimes less is more than enough) it was easy to skip past those parts mostly. He does a really good job breaking down the story and film making for examination but is humorous enough to keep it entertaining and interesting. I don't know how enjoyable it would be for PT fans or GL worshipers but I thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks for the suggestion guys!

I personally cannot stand the Plinkett voice. I made it through the big Phantom Menace one long ago, but I can't take any more of it. Wish the guy would just do them with his real voice. Long videos are just too much to hear of that.

I was switching wallpaper on Windows and I have one of the clonetroopers boarding the Acclamator ships after the Battle of Geonosis. What did they do with their weapons? They are all marching up the ramp with nothing but their armor. My guess is it was either a situation of "No one will notice.", or they were running out of time on that scene. Still... you'd think they would have to return their weapons to the armory on the ship!

Or the Republic was secretly supplying the CIS with weapons!

I feel like a crazy person but I may be in the process of doing a complete 180 and enjoying The Last Jedi. I’m not saying it’s objectively bad or anything like that, I just spent a lot of time actively disliking it only to realize now that I may have been wrong in my judgement.

I'm not changing my opinion on TLJ. I thought that overall it wasn't a bad SW movie. The thing that ruined it for me was the awful writing of Luke and what they did to him. People are defending that part despite the character not acting like Luke. Yes things change over 40 years, but your core values don't. I point to his first instinct, even if brief, to kill Ben Solo as being a total mischaracterization of the character. Luke immediately tries to redeem Vader who is a mass murderer! It's like whoever wrote it hadn't seen the OT at all.
