BREAKING NEWS! Mike 0, Nada, Nil, Zip, Zehro, Zoro, or whatever his name is, has BREAKING NEWS! 3 Videos!

He has access to a leaked Trailer!

He suggests Ashoka will be in the new movie!

He suggests Vadar/ Anakin will be in it!

Man, I'd love to know if this is all true, but to be completely honest, I didn't watch his videos. Those are just the 3 videos that popped up in my Google search for Star Wars news.

I'm also pretty sure that he thinks Mace will be in it, along with Jar Jar as the Sith Lord who is Palpatine's father, making Jar Jar Anakin's Grandfather and Rey's Godmother (don't ask how- just wait for Mikey 0 to release his next video in 2 minutes to explain). And of course Wedge is going to be back, except he is reported to have only a small supporting role holding a door open for someone. Wedge... Get it? LAUGH NOW, GOD DAMNIT!

Oh, and Thrawn will be in it as well. But now he's Green with Envy.

I would love it if someone made some sort of pie chart showing how many times he's been wrong. But me thinks it would be one color!

Is wookiepedoa an official site? I thought it was fan made which wouldn't make it canon.

Along those lines, I'd love to see a Shadows of The Empire movie or series too. It was such a brilliant idea to instead of doing an actual movie, they told the story through everything you would expect with a feature film release. A N64 video game, soundtracks, trading cards, novels, comics and toys with each having a different perspective on the story.

I’m sorry but that vest...

It looks like something Luke picked up at Columbia to go fly fishing with.

:)

Correct. That is why you check the references at the bottom of the page. In this case it says that deleted scene is part of the Return of the Jedi junior novel. Which is canon. So I think it's safe to say that the cave build scene is canon.

Deleted scenes inhabit a grey area. Typically they are not considered canon, unless another work alludes to the deleted scene. (If I remember the scenes between Luke and Biggs are also canon)

Tatooine Outfitters?........though I don't know where Luke would be fly fishing at on Tatooine. Maybe the Hutt's have a indoor lake stocked with fish:lol:

It's not official but many official SW content creators, including novel or comic writers, people in the film industry etc have confessed they regularly consult wookieepedia, even Pablo Hidalgo praised it at some point (on twitter I think?). They do make a very good job at listing what is canon and what's not, although as Joek3rr says, reference should be the ultimate source of info. But for an open source effort it's pretty good IMO. Some of the discussions behind the articles are ridiculous, and the amount of information on uninportant things is hillarious, Hello Greedo as some videos about it, you should check it out.

Well if any of the concept artists or people involved with TLJ consulted it for ship designs, they failed utterly.

I don't know about that. I think this is a pretty slick design

This is from the Wookieepedia page for Luke's Lightsaber

During Celebration V, Mark Hamill and George Lucas debuted a deleted scene from Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi in which Luke activates his lightsaber for the first time. The clip was later included in the saga Blu-ray boxset. The scene was briefly alluded to in Tom Angleberger's canon junior novel adaptation of the film, Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side!.

Luke Skywalker's green lightsaber

Heeeeh idk about that, I don’t see anything wrong with that scene being canon.

He has to mention all those names so if one of them is true he can brag he was the first to say.. I can’t believe people still watch this guy.. every day it’s the same thing

Now one does have to be careful of Wookieepedia. Since it can be edited by anyone. Some try to make it align with their headcanon. For instance this morning I was reading about the map to Skywalker. And I noticed this line-

"During their conflict with the Resistance, the First Order recovered part of the map from the Archives of the Empire, while Lor San Tekka was able to get part of a map.[1] Skywalker's droid, R2-D2, also received a portion of the map from his master, then went into low-power mode to protect the data. It was impossible to distinguish where the map led without both portions.[3]"

Notice the section I underlined, It would make someone think that Luke left the map. But then you go to the bottom the page and you get this-

"An idea intended by J.J. Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt for the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens was that R2-D2 got valuable data from the Empire and the locations of Jedi Temples when he plugged into the information base of the Death Star during Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[5]"

And this from the reference [5]

The story group’s thinking went back to the 1977 original movie, when R2-D2 accessed the Empire’s mainframe as the heroes searched for the captured Princess Leia. “We had the idea about R2 plugging into the information base of the Death Star, and that’s how he was able to get the full map and find where the Jedi temples are,” Arndt said.

Abrams says he chose to spell this out indirectly in the movie because he didn’t want the story to get bogged down in “how s–t happened 30 years ago.”

“But the idea was that in that scene where R2 plugged in, he downloaded the archives of the Empire, which was referenced by Kylo Ren,” Abrams said. Thirty-eight years later, in both our own and galactic time, that data becomes useful in The Force Awakens when a new droid approaches the dormant R2.

"BB-8 comes up and says something to him, which is basically, ‘I’ve got this piece of a map, do you happen to have the rest?’” Abrams said. “The idea was, R2 who has been all over the galaxy, is still in his coma, but he hears this. And it triggers something that would ultimately wake him up.”

Also of note, EckhartsLadder I believe has said that he's had to edit Luke Skywalker's page several times to say that Luke used Force choke in ROTJ. But since some don't think Luke was using the Dark Side, they'll edit it to say it was a mind trick.

This reminds me when people tried to explain that the matte slugs on the Emperor’s face to cover imperfections of the makeup are force-parasites and that the spaceships’ matte boxes are the shields which then contradicted with matte boxes being around TIE fighters which are not supposed to have shields...

It is said in the TFA novel that R2 had it an imperial archive in his databank
