The Star Wars theatrical timeline

At least as I understand it. My wife was recently asking me where solo and rogue one fit into the timeline, so I rattled off the movies, but it got me thinking there’s been so much more.

So here it is as I understand it, I put in the upcoming shows based upon where I think they will fit in. I’ve left out the 2-D cartoons, the Ewok specials and the Holiday special as I don’t consider them canon! Lol.

Let me know where I’m wrong on some of these.

Episode One: The Phantom Menace

Episode Two: Attack of The Clones

The Clone Wars

Episode Three: The Revenge of The Sith

The Bad Batch

Kenobi

Solo

Rebels

Andor

Rogue One

Episode Four: A New Hope

Episode Five: The Empire Strikes Back

Episode Six: The Return of The Jedi

The Mandalorian

The Book of Boba Fett

Ashoka

Episode Seven: The Force Awakens

Episode Eight: The Last Jedi

Episode Nine: The Rise of Skywalker

Wait . . . you mean JJA's Trek reboot isn't Star Wars?
Ok, YOU started this.

2009 Trek,

A young orphan (half at least)

Meets an older, wiser man who tells him that he has a destiny he can’t imagine.

He’s whisked away on an adventure in space

The Death Star destroys Alderan (Romulan mining vessel destroys Vulcan)

They launch a rescue to save the princess (rescue Captain Pike)

They fight to get off of the ship

The X Wing destroys the Death Star (Spock’s jelly fish ship destroys the mining ship)

The hero is decorated (Kirk gets a commission)

He now sets off on his adventure.

They even have Han and Chewie. (Scotty and his lizard buddy)

You forgot the part where the young hero got beat up in a bar.

This reminds me of the timelines you'd see in the back of the EU novels where they charted out the chronological order of each of the novels so you could place them all in context to one another. Just like those this will have to be updated as more content is released.

It is interesting to see them all laid out in order though.

Wasn’t there a few jawatrader magazines with them as well?

Re-read the first post.
Look deeply into the cold, dead, unblinking eyes of the homicidal maniac, Wicket W. Warwick, and tell him that his adventures are not canon…

Question: Do you mean viewing order or internal timeline order? ;) There's an irritating time-loop effect, due to how things have been handled. Definitely start with ANH and Empire. Then go back and watch everything up through Rogue One. Then pick up with The Mandalorian and go from there.
