No no they are resin printed like the prototypes were, I didn't find a better solution and I think they look good with paint. From what I can see the original looks painted as well. Those are beautiful! Machined Delrin?
Did you make a jig to cut the edges so easily?Hey there,
all different sizes of grips are cut for the finished sabers, as well as the short grip glued at the front of the Square shroud and Severed hand versions
that was a lot of grips to cut!
Yes sort off, I attached a vice to my good old circular saw and put a depth stop for each size and cut cut cut. Same for the 30 degrees angle. It took a lot of time because of the huge amount of cuts to do, but it was very easy and consistentDid you make a jig to cut the edges so easily?
Thank you again so much for your help Brad, this is the cool additional detail I was hoping would be possible to have when I started this run and I'm glad it was possible to get accurate cards specially for this saberSo happy you are pleased with the cards!
You know, I've been making cards for sabers for fifteen years now, and with each one I think to myself... "If it's not good enough for my own saber, my customer won't be happy with it." I know it took a little longer, but every one of these I made sure was as good as I could possibly make it. I hope you all enjoy them!
They do look great! The kit folks need to purchase the card separately, right? Which option should we select on your website to get ones like these? So happy you are pleased with the cards!
