that grail is begging for mercy. I am not a big fan of the series but the crystal skull looks ok for me. Could be better, but is not as bad as the grail (or the other head).

Looks like the Idol is completely sold out including parks. I think the grail is still available though.

Just noticed, the crystal skull doesnt seem to have any of the suture marks on the outside of the skull....at least i dont see any of the light highlights hitting them. Dome looks completely smooth. That seems like a pretty big oversight...I guess those wouldnt be too hard to add yourself with an engraving tool or something.

Does the real movie prop have suture marks? I don't see any. Most real elongated skulls that have been discovered in South America that they like to show on Ancient Aliens are missing them. It's one of the reasons they suspect aliens because no known human skills are missing them.

As for the skull size, it looks much better than my old plastic one and fairly close to the above picture. I used a USB AAA battery cheater to power it by AC and turn on with my other AC powered lit props. It sits on my front wide speakers across from my real quartz crystal human skull (lit by changing lights underneath).

Quartz human skull (bit small though, more like baby size, but it's hard to find large real quartz skulls that are semi-clear and they typically cost thousands, not hundreds when you do.

I'm pretty happy with mine. No regrets on my purchase. I think it looks great displayed with the rest of my collection. Now if I can only find a battery pack remote kit, I'll be in great shape.

I'm totally revamping my display this weekend (possibly) and I'm pretty excited to see if what's in my head works. - I'll keep you posted

I use separate remote and battery kits. Skull battery is plugged into USB hub that's plugged into an RF remote controlled (5 button ) AC outlet. I can turn on/off all my back lit props and lights and even turn my lights and subwoofer on/off.

As for the suture lines, that bugs me they have them on the originals when they shouldn't be there by real lore, but then having Grey's be "magnetized" bugged me too. Actually, a lot of things bugged me in that movie, but I understand people want screen accurate props.

As for the Disney idol comment that there's nothing close to the original until the $350 range, there was one made in China a few years ago that was around $100 that looked great for the price. I don't know if it's still available, but it fools me looking at it.

All that's left now is the skull. The stones have sold out on Disney shop. I'm going to wait until people get tired of theirs and relist it. I have one but I'd like to have another to keep in the box.

The stone was up for a hot minute before selling out again. And the grail is gone now too. I heard from a Disney cast member that these will all go in and out of stock as they replenish their stock, so the best bet is just keep checking the site.

The only other items shown were the fedora, shirt, and possibly the pants as well. None of them were screen accurate. I haven’t seen/heard of anything else coming, but with the new movie opening next summer, who knows?

The reason I ask is I’m on the fence on buying the Disney idol when it comes back up for sale. I have a shiny gold plated idol that looks and feels like the screen accurate prop. I replaced it with an antique gold idol with eyes. I’m wondering if it’s worth picking up the Disney idol to keep boxed if it truly is screen accurate. Thanks in advance for any/all info and advice.

A comparison of Idols... The attached images show the differences in size and shape of all the idols in my collection... I'm missing some significant Idols, the "Gobler Idol" and the Sideshow Idol instantly come to mind... and probably DarkMatter Props' offering, although I have their ½ size...
