I think it's a joke. A spoof of Chanel ads or something like that.

It's not a joke; LaChapelle is a surrealist. As for being embarrassed for the actors, I'm always embarrassed for actors. They are some wacky people. :lol

Yeah, I didn't think that commercial was a joke - surreal is exactly it.

Moo - I figured you'd love those!! I can't decide if I like Richard, Ben's or Daniel's better... Juliet's is really sad, though!

Oh, then I also feel sorry for the actors. :lol
I wonder how long I'd last as an actor (assuming I made it as far as being cast in something like LOST). There would be things like this, or the "all singing, all dancing" special episode that many long-running series seem to get around to doing, that I'd refuse to do, and I'd end up being considered "problematical".
