The Mandalorian is just a vehicle to promote other shows. It's been that way since Season 2, which is why the miniscule potential it had was squandered by becoming the cameo show. It wouldn't shock me in the least if the title character got replaced in his own show. It's not like we haven't seen it happen regularly for the last decade.

In the show they also seem to be setting up that Grogu could be the title character so perhaps in their minds removing Pascal is not a problem. Which at this point, with the way the show has been going, I can't help but feel totally indifferent about.

Ill just say this here one time.. The Mandalorian is Din Djarin. Its not 'baby yoda'. No matter what they do to try to change what the show is. Din is always "Mando". The first episode in the next season will say everything. If they decide to depart from Din, i will depart from the show. The Kennedy Bunch has a way of ruining anything it touches the longer they touch it. Yes, they have had good episodes, but not a good complete series. They did make a couple great films, in my opinion, but they are under .500 in that realm too. Someone isnt a fan first like they claim to be, and they never poll the true fans about anything. No doubt there would be a pretty good divide there as well. My view, just tell a good story and not try to connect some fun scenes together that have no support. Just because it has Star Wars on it does not mean we want it.

Well I finally did it. I read the Dark Horse Clone Wars comics.

I can say, without hesitation, it is my preferred version of the Clone Wars. It feels so much more consistent with films. Anakin is more consistent. The clones are more consistent. Dooku. The Jedi still feel like the good guys. They aren't blinded by their hubris, and consumed by the war. They question, fighting in the war at every turn. They realize that war is changing them and the Republic. We see so many different Jedi. Jedi who spend their time, helping people. One, never even carries a lightsaber.

And then there's Quinlan Vos. A Jedi who's tasked with getting close to Dooku. It's absolutely gripping, as slips further into dark side. As struggles to keep himself.

Such a good series. And again it just amazes me how this series is better fit with the films. A fits so much better then the animated show that George had a lot input on.

Im surprised Disney hasnt capitalized on Quinlan Vos beyond the animation given he is a decently developed character from the EU. Apparently Lucas liked him enough to consider putting him in episode 3 (although it was cut at the cgi stage so there is no live actor).

In not a big fan of the one sith era with Darth Kryat but I wonder if Lucas liked it given that his proposed treatment had Maul with apprentice Darth Talon who came from this arc.

I think they either mentioned Quinlan Vos in the Obi-Wan series or it could have just been his name on the wall in the one scene of the Jedi underground railroad place.

I wonder if they would have gotten him back.

I think he just liked the look of Talon. But who knows. He was known to read some of the comics though.

Yep. Obi-Wan reads his name on the wall. Though unfortunately, the new continuity had the weird suffer dude Vos from TCW. Dave Filoni' Vos hardly resembles the Vos from the EU.

The jedi freedom railroad? Kind of a shame since he was essentially one of Obi Wan’s best buds (they trained together and I think they fought together in one of the CW episodes).

He is a humanoid, be cast by a minority actor, and is one of the more popular among the fandom so would be one to look at imo.

Very possible. She does look good (tempted Cade) and I do think a dark twi’lek is a cool concept. Our main interaction with twi’leks is mostly as eye candy (dancer in jabba’s palace) and that one jedi so having a powerful former slave from the “underground” being Maul (the head of a crime syndicate)’s apprentice is a cool idea that fits with just visual storytelling.

In before stereotyping all twi’leks as sexy dancers is spiciest and will get me cancelled on galactic twitter lol.

Hey Guys, I've been shy to share, but I was nominated for Youtuber of the Month for June. There's only one more day to vote and I'm close to winning! I would be SO APPRECIATIVE to anyone who would vote for me!

It's super easy, just comment that you vote for Mike's Gaming Gala here:

Thank you in advance!!!

This was my brother in law’s; now my son’s

I was reading some of it to him and there are a lot of scenes that read different than the movie.

One that stands out is the battle where Vader takes Luke’s hand. In the book Vader holds him via force wind, so he’s hovering in the tunnel until Vader lets him drop.

Quite a bit of subtle dialogue changes as well. I wonder if this was created based on a pre production script?

I seem to recall seeing storyboards of that. It was probably in The Making of The Empire Strikes Back.

Also, I love Vader's lightsaber on the cover.

It probably was written based on an earlier draft of the script, due to the lead time needed between the writing, printing, then distribution they likely wouldn't have had time to wait for the final shooting script.

I'll have to check that out because I still have my tattered copy of that book that I had as a kid!
