I doubt Ardnt proposed a slow ship moving through space to be a major chunk of the trilogy.

OH, DEAR GOD SOMEONE DELETE THIS THREAD!!!
No need buddy!Or at the least retitle it to Further defense of the ST. At least it would be more accurate.
It's been great for A LOT of laughs though! Besides, there's some real progress...people are finally seeing through the "untruths" and falsehoods of anti ST dogma. How could they not with such overwhelmingly objective fact presented ?OH, DEAR GOD SOMEONE DELETE THIS THREAD!!!
I think that this thread should be split in two, break this discussion about the ST and whether there was or wasn't a plan to it into its own thread.
Lol, thats good
OH, DEAR GOD SOMEONE DELETE THIS THREAD!!!
Honestly third the motion. Ive tried several times to also discuss something star wars related that has nothing to do with the ST such as the future of star wars or speculation unrelated to the ST and get drawn back into the asinine debate of the merits of the ST and if anything was planned of which there is none.View attachment 1464358
This thread serves no other purpose than to falsely bait OT fans into entering a thread that consists of a flood of deliberate and call it what it is—trolling—commentary designed to elicit a vomit-inducing reaction.
Anyone who comes to this thread expecting to really discuss “All Things Star Wars” is sorely mistaken.
The other way to shut it down is to choose not to take the clickbait, when it is offered, and to abandon the thread, as a community.
I’m out.
Seriously this response is ridiculous and a regurgitation of what you said before with no new evidence.Lol. That's called a plan.
George was probably just salty that they didn't use his half naked Twi'lek.

That or they said. 'George we are not recasting or CGI de-aging the Original Trilogy characters.'
Thanks for actually proving my point.
"...Much to my surprise, it was, "Here's a script for Episode VII, and you can watch some dailies, because they were shooting Episode VII at the time, and let's talk about where this is going next."
(One of the Russo brothers described MCU development as working the same way. They don't give the director a script a say. 'Here's the film your making.' They come along and say. 'What is the movie you want to make?')
Rian Johnson was a team player. He willing and went along with what was in the works. The whole process is just one big collaboration. That's how you end up with stuff from 2013 ending up in a 2017 film, and 2019 film.View attachment 1464201

"So, the late-2012 idea of a Luke Skywalker haunted by the betrayal of one of his students, in self-imposed exile & spiritually in “a dark place”, not only precedes Rian Johnson’s involvement in Star Wars but J.J. Abrams’, as well."
I mean the MCU had been in the works since at least 2003. Avi Arad had hired Zak Penn to write a draft for The Avengers in 2003, which featured Loki. And he was the one to make Marvel Studios sn independent studio.

I love Last Crusade myself, but I feel that it was the 'SOLO' of the franchise.I actually almost typed that in my first response. Last Crusade kind of feels like the ROTJ of the Indy franchise
