Just relating my story based on having original star wars toys above. My ******* stepfather (for the beaten and drunk driving killing people reasons), had one very minor barely okay thing about him. He drove tractor trailers and hauled toys. And his thieving ways ensured I had Star Wars toys. But alas, when he left us for his new family, he took my ****! ******* LOL. Granted, I didn't realize the value of the stash I had until well after it was gone. But SO much stuff fell out of those trailers in the 70's.

That’s a story man, must have been nice christmases

The original MF toy didn't have lights or sounds, so we had to make our own. Around 1980 (I was 8) I was playing in my room, the MF had crash landed in a laundry basket and Han had to check the power couplings. Since it was dark, I put a "torch" in his hand (a wooden match from my dad's cigar table). Well the cardboard divider in the ship caught pretty fast while I was getting Chewie out of the Darth Vader case, by the time I turned back Han was lost to the flames and the hull integrity was being breached! I ran to the bathroom, got a glass of water and frantically threw it at the ship, completely missing it. My next plan was the window, I opened it, grabbed the now engulfed Falcon and chucked it from the second floor.
Probably my most distinct memory of a Star Wars toy was watching it trail flames and black smoke as it nose dived to the patio shattering and splashing gobs of burning plastic everywhere! It was GLORIOUS!
At the time my mother was washing dishes, looking out the window directly below me.
There was...some trouble afterwards. They never replaced the Falcon, Dad said I lost my pilot's license. (y)

If only they would release the theatrical versions of the OT,....as it stands,...all films in this BD set all have 2k effects rendering, nothing is completely 4k,.....TPM although shot on film was converted to 2k for effects work back then, original film elements have never been scanned any higher,...AotC & RotS were shot on video at 2K,....ANH, TESB & RotJ, although recently rescanned off film at 4k, has SE elements re-inserted which were rendered at 2k,....Disney doesn't render any effects higher than 2k, due to their heavy workload, so although there may be 4k practical & shots of actors/props/sets, when effects are added the shots are 2k for the ST, R1 & Solo

So really the only beautiful parts are the OT, which looks the best we have ever seen,...although TESB & RotJ are quite dark & flat,...as though they are raw & need a LUT added

Really not worth spending your hard earned cash on, IMO

Gotta love that 2k ronto butt in Mos Eisley..... :p

 It's been so long since I've seen the SE it took me a minute...Ronto butt! I forgot how much stuff was added to Most Eisley, 4K77 rules!(y)
George added some weird stuff. But some of it I like. For instance, just making it look busier with more people and ships coming and going. I also like the added Imperial droids searching the city.

He did make some odd choices as far as what was added, as well as changed. I always liked the "feel" of Mos Eisley being a backwoods sort of place without much open activity. Sort of like a grubby old west town where everyone is wary of each other, with most shipping being "shady" so it seems as though there isn't as much traffic as there really is. Feels more foreboding and dangerous for the characters to me.

I don't mind it, but yeah in the original it felt more like a backwater city. Of course if you don't have enough facilities no one would land there so the newer version probably makes more sense. You also have to remember the budget he was working with for the original so we don't know whether that was intentional or the best he could do.
