I heard Rian Johnson likes pineapple AND mushroom pizza.

There is some NSFW language in here (not that the vulgarity filter catches everything here) but I just figured I'd warn people.

These crack me up. Something about his delivery and editing just gets me every time. I figured I would just post the OT ones. The PT and ST ones aren't all consistent and his delivery is kind of choppy compared to these but these are funny as hell!

I mean as much as I love and defend these movies I can see how someone off the street might think they could be contrived, silly space adventure movies.

Agreed. Rian gave a good explanation in the special features of TLJ

Luke felt the jedi was doing more harm then good. He tried to train a new generation of jedi and failed as Kylo went to the dark side.

To keep the balance in the force there as to be an equal number of Jedi and sith. With the Jedi kicking around there will always be the sith. For everyone doing good there must be some doing bad to equal out or balance the force. So Luke realized this and decided to sacrifice himself for what he felt was needed to help save the Galaxy. That's why he said it was time for the Jedi to end and why he went into exile and closed himself from the force.

It's not the typical Luke from the OT because time passes and everything changes. History repeats itself so something needed to change to rewrite the future.

Ok here we go again. Unless Disney is completely ignoring everything to do with the Jedi that Lucas set down, balance does not mean equal!!! Lucas said that the JEDI believe balance is the universe being completely under the influence of the Light Side. When the Sith are destroyed, their influence over the Force is gone so it's in balance. Again from the JEDI's point of view. It doesn't mean the Dark Side is gone, just that it doesn't hold sway over the galaxy. It has absolutely nothing to do with the sides of the Force being equal or ying/yang or whatever else. If that were true there's no way the Force could be unbalanced by two Sith. Think about it.
