This thread is stellar. Where did this picture of the 'oven knob' come from? Where'd you find that? This is definitely news to me and I don't believe it's identified. Is it from the yahoo group?View attachment 1956027

I’m not 100% sure. I believe this is one that Kenblomi had saved from RPF or somewhere 15 + years ago. I’ll ask if he can recall & have him chime in.

Ah yes.. The infamous "oven knob plate" or whatever it may be... That photo came from the Willie Goldman photo collection... I randomly stumbled across this site like 10-15 years ago that had tons of reference photos... Some were screen shots and promo shots and some were from the archive... But yeah, I have searched and searched trying to 100% identify the "oven knob plate" thingy but to no avail....

I just checked and the web site still works (kind of)... It looks like it hasn't been maintained or maintenenced in years, but it seems the photo links can still be accessed if you wanna check them out, here is the link...

Crappy quality or not, it’s a really cool picture! Looks like that was almost what illusive concepts based theirs off of with the basic flat panels. I like these older ones. Thanks for sharing!

The 100/150/200/250 markings and the “OFF” label right at the flat detent points to Celsius markings for a food warmer or oven. Hours of reverse image lookups, ai deep searches have turned up nothing so far… other than it must belong to a food service device.
