The kit is great and the directions are detailed as well. I only was wondering about the magnets, are they only there so you can wear the disk?

Yes, the magnets are for wearing the disc.

We'll I've built 2 of your kits so far, and just finished my third one last night. Fantastic kits. I did notice something: the outer ring you provided, on these two newer kits, are slightly smaller and fit better, than your last run? I like that it fits closer to the disc and covers a light gap that was there on the edges before, and required very little molding to get it to fit. I also went with the three 3.7V Li-ion mod, the current draw on your strips is pretty beefy (I think 180mA total for both) so doing this makes the disc last longer. Great stuff man

Very well, as you wish. Building them, they become easier to build with practice. Dremelling doesn't suck as much.

Here is a picture of my 3 Li-ion mod with your disc kit. Anyone who tries this, BE CAREFUL! I bought specific batteries that had solder tabs welded on. If you try to solder directly to the battery, it will most likely melt the plastic separator, creating a short and possibly causing the battery to burst into flame. Do your research! The mod is dangerous if you don't know what you are doing, but the results are awesome if you do.

And here are 3 of my disc kits built up with the Li-ion batteries installed, showing off how bright they are.

And an innovation for the battery port: a charge connection

If you try a google search for "Tron Deluxe Identity Disk" you should get some reasonable places to purchase from. I figure $30.00 bucks would be the High end, at least for what I would pay but good luck finding any White Kevin Flynn Discs for less than $70.00.

Did you figure out how to utilize the stock push/pressure button to use for ring on/off?

I think I have a solution for that Raindown. I've finally tracked down a mechanical push button on/off that I think will work! I'll post more on my findings soon.

I've finally finished mine!

The white plastic from the Kevin Flynn diffuse the light a little bit too much. I've lined a part of it with aluminium duct tape but I wasn't enough, but I'm still satisfied with the result. This was a very fun mod to work on! Thanks for making this kit Soulinertia!
