Anyone else have their builds done and are able to post pics of functioning discs? I would like to see how others mod'd their discs, as well as seeing the range of colors that were ordered thus far.

Would have posted mine sooner but getting 20 posts done that weren't *completely* spam took more than I thought.

Just recieved my kit earlier this week and finished the install of my Rinzler a few days ago and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed with it. (I just took these photos with my iPhone but it gives off a nice radiating effect in the dark).
I decided to not install the magnets and bezel mounts as I utterly shredded two top halves of a disc and a bottom half when I was drilling them out. I can't seem to get it righ

On a side note, hey Soul, there seems to be a fairly large bubble (1-2cm long) on my sam outer ring, do you have any recommendations on filling the hole or should I just send it back to you? Throw me a PM when you have some time away from making these awesome kits

Finally hit my 20 post quota

I can't wait to start this modification. For those interested, I'm also planning on adding an AC adapter plug to the disc to allow for a wall power application. That way you can display the disc when the costume is done.

Jedibaritone, your kit will ship in the next couple days. In fact, all week 3 orders will be shipped out in the next couple days!

Depending on whether or not you are installing the second 'C' ring, bezel mounts, magnets etc. I estimate the full conversion should take anywhere from 2-5hrs to finish for most.

Got my kit in the mail yesterday and have set aside tomorrow to work on it! Perfect timing - just in time for TRON day at Disneyland on Sunday!

Hope nothing goes wrong, but I did have a couple of questions.

- I didn't order a second C-ring, but now I'm kind of wishing I had. If I follow the optional directions for installing the second C-ring and use the existing plastic C-ring from the toy, will that do in a pinch? And if I later get the second C-ring from you, is it possible to install it then? Just curious.

- Is it possible to do the electronics for now and then add the magnets for later? I'm assuming that the magnets are just for being able to mount them on your back and that they serve no other purpose than that, right?

Eric,

There won't be enough room for the LEDs to install both the existing C ring and the new one from the kit unless you cut down the new one and use it for the back side. You would then have to use the existing C ring for the front side until the 2nd one arrives. The other issue would be gluing it in place and then being able to remove it for the replacement.

As for the magnets and bezel mounts, yes. Those can both be installed later. The magnets are for mounting purposes only.

Target was selling them for $14.99 in stores when I bought mine. Recently I went and they had them for the same $12.99 as the Disney store (without the shipping charge).

Still no sign of the Flynn discs at target around here though.

Wal mart has some cheap disc for like $7 but they go fast

My local Target just replenished stock. ($12.99) probably to coincide with the blu ray release.
