I paid for express shipping weeks ago and they still haven't arrived. Sorry to those that ordered Rinzler discs. I'm hoping they will show up any day now.

I've only shipped a few Basic Kits, but the rest of them will go out this weekend!

Most of the week 1 orders have shipped. I will be finishing up with those as well as the majority of week 2 orders this weekend as well.

Unless SI has gone slightly mad, it should be the general list shown on the OP of this thread. Both Clutch and FuseNova are on the first week shipment group and they seem to have their info in hand now.

I don't think he's actually going in that particular order, I'm listed before Clutch and haven't received anything from SI or Paypal. I assume that I'm one of the few discs that still haven't shipped from week1.

The "C" rings come in translucent white only and the color depends on the LEDs. However, you could get white LEDs and use Tsuyosa/BRRogers method of adding translucent films for the color. Then I think it would be possible.

You will notice that I have *not* assembled the kit yet. This is just to give you an idea of the possibilities of using the PVC transparency. Additive color mixing rules apply.

It has the weight, thickness, and pliability of a sheet of paper. And yes, that is what I have been doing. Quite a lot of possibilities, especially as 'custom' colors and combinations could be achieved by layering multiple pieces. For instance, covering each LED individually, I suppose you could make a rainbow disk if you really wanted... haha

For the record: As the PVC sheets only change the color, the luminosity of the white LEDs ARE affected.
So, if you want *bright* color to show through, the colored LEDs are still your best bet.

Hence why I went for the custom colored LED Strips. Any overlay, even one with a 'slight' hue change effect, will always lessen the overall brightness at least a bit.

I hope to see the week #2 list hit soon.. I have a Costumed Event coming up in less than 2 weeks and have no desire to go sans-disc.

I received my kits - good product and professionally packaged. I rushed through the first kit and aside from my shoddy dremeling, the kit went in without a hitch. The next install will take more time and involve a few modifications including the use of only one switch and allow for a wall adapter (for wall mount).

A few lessons learned:
A hair dryer can really speed up the forming of the outer ring. This can warp the outer ring so be careful.

The 4 outer slots are 1cm long, if you cut out the entire fake slot but the outer ring only extends into the case about 7-9mm. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

To be clear - I did rush this job and additional heat/stretching may be the key. I was mostly concerned with getting a nice even circle on the outside and later on discovered this minor issue. This picture is worse case for me with remaining slots better or perfect.

Is this longer than needed cut due to removing all of the original white bar of the slot, or cutting beyond the white area normally found on the discs?

I hate running out of time and doing things last second. Any news on when Week #2 items will start hitting the mail service, so I can judge if I need to mod a temp version of my disc now or will be able to wait and have the time needed to work this mod into the costume for next week's Con?
