World War Z (Pre-release)

I guess everyone is used to the slow one leg dragging Zombie:eek these are more in shape Zombies, they eat well and excercise so get your running shoes ready! LOL.

One scene reminds me of the bug attack on the fort in "Starship Troopers" where the buigs stack up on each other to get into the fort...

As always, my question is, If the horde tears everyone to shreds, where do all the complete zombies come from?

A book about zombies is not fine literature.

The movie will still probably be crap.

But it's not sacrilege.

That is what annoys me about adaptations. If you're going to take the source material that changes it so much that it is unrecognisable from that source other than by name, then make something else!

I understand the need to change some things to work better on the screen but they often go way too far. For example, in Walking Dead, a lot of the things in the books were WAY more dramatic and powerful than the tv show, and could have easily been directly translated. Dale's death is just one example. It was awesome in the book, but on screen it was just wasted.

They could easily film this in the style of the book and it would be entertaining but we know that requires talent that Hollywood is lacking.

No, this is name recognition and false advertising.

People who don't follow the internet chat will go to this movie expecting to see the book. This is just them using the book name to sell tickets, but making up a pile of **** and passing it off as entertainment. Anyone seeing this expecting to see the book should demand their money back.

I am disappoint... I mean, these zombies are like the Zerg in Starcraft... Fast zombies suck, they are stupid. I swear I give fast zombies a chance on some occasions, but this is freaking rediculous. I...I don't even have enough words to describe how unhappy I am seeing that.

:lol

I'd love to see a youtube video of someone trying that. Complaining to the cinema manager because the film wasn't exactly like the book and asking for a refund.

Alternatively, someone could go see the film first then buy the book and demand their money back because it wasn't exactly like the film. ;)

I don't think either would have much luck.

I still want to know if Max Brooks had no say in the movie or if he just rolled over because they threw a bunch of money at him. I mean he essentially wrote 2 books to describe and define everything about zombies and they completely throw that out the window.

I'm not gonna completely give up hope on this movie until I see it but I'm gonna go in with the same expectations I had with Zombie Apocalypse or Rise of the Zombies.

This is what Brooks had to say way back in 2011:

“I’m not involved so I just want to be able to enjoy watching the movie when it comes out. At least I know they did at least as much research into things as I did for the book."

I enjoyed both of his books on Zombies, but not holding much hope for this film with the delays, and horrible looking trailer.
