WWZ TRAILER! (anyone else notice ET anger-rant!)

in the new trailer, anyone else notice some clever editing. in the scene where zombies flip over what looks like a bus, then pour over it. there seems to be some soldiers in the foreground. in the original trailer, both soldiers going full auto on the zombies, but in the new trailer, hes got a radio to his ears wtf kind of ET spielberg re-editing is this?

I'm wondering if it was simply editing the footage for the trailer only just so they don't show soldiers opening up on a group of people. From the rest of the trailer, you really don't see anyone engaging anyone. There's the helicopter scenes but you can't really tell. I'm assuming in the film, the soldiers will be back to lighting them all up again.

Those Z's sure do bare an incredible resemblance to the Sims. Dammit, why am I such a sucker for zombies?! Sigh, I just can't resist going to see this. On the plus side, my expectations could not possibly be any lower. Hopefully, that is a good thing!

That's what I mean though, they simply edited the trailer so that they aren't showing soldiers lighting up a group of people. In the movie i'm sure the footage will be the way it was, they just don't want to show anything like that on TV.

I've read enough reviews to maybe go see this. It sounds like it will actually be decent and as epic as Zombie movies can get. They take out the president...

The edit fits in with current ROE. I could totally see it happening.

Guy on the radio: We are being over run. Request permission to engage.

Command Authority: Are they firing on you?

Guy on the radio: No they pushed over a bus and started eating my men!

Command Authority: I can see it all via the UAV feed... you can't fire unless fired upon.

I can't stand Max Brooks after seeing some of his actions at cons and fan meets. However, despite what's been said about the movie, I'm still likely catch a matinee to see how it is.

I am tired of hearing all of the variations of the "Daddy?" "HONEY!" dialogue in the commercials though...

I think the book ran out of steam toward the middle to the end. I don't think it would have made a good movie.

No, it wouldn't. Didn't stop them from trying, or at least capitalizing on the name and making some other movie instead.

The book would have made a fantastic documentary-style TV miniseries, though.

I was hoping they'd make the film more like Contagion, which I kind of enjoyed. This looks to be more of a straight on action film than Contagion though.

^ Agreed, Contagion was a decent enough film. World War Z looks like the kind of awful they cannot hide in the trailer!

Nearly fell asleep watching contagion. I felt the film lacked anything gripping. Each to their own I suppose. Dont get me wrong. I dont like straight up action only films either

Contagion i'm thinking of getting a try but i have my doubts about a PG13 zombie movie not to mention this thing is about as far from the source material as can get. The book could have been made into a movie with no changes at all.

Did anyone else watch Revolution last night for the advertised special preview trailer?

I saw nothing special or new from WWz, just another rehash, but the Man of Steel trailer was both new and exciting.

But I don't know who to cheer for... Soldiers not shooting, save the Constitution but let the President get eaten, and the Hero of the story wants to hang out on the carrier battle group with the wife and kids. :facepalm

Considering it's pg13 and brad pitt is in it i'm worried this thing is going to have some sort of agenda linked to it.
