Vader Tour Suit.

Nice pictures. Yeah, it's not the same as the one in the OP post, but definitely nice to see new pictures of Vader tour suits.

You say you found the negatives as well? Are they in good condition? Would be cool if you could print new pictures from them. But still already a cool find.

That poster with the Revenge banner never became a video poster. It was for a 1982 theatrical re-release. So you can set the earliest possible date for the photos as early 1982.

Taken at a Seattle-area mall, circa 1982.

And these are scans from the negatives. The Nikon Coolscan Scanners can clean up scratches very well on color negatives/positives, but for some reason, it cannot do it at all on B&W negatives. And these ain't worth spending a lot of time on......

Ah, I thought it was old photographs you found, not that the pictures were new from the original negatives, sorry for misunderstanding.

Love those pics GKvfx, thanks for sharing those! Yeah, the Nikon Coolpix machines are great especially the Silver(something) software, I had one in my old business but ended up selling it when I closed it up.

I've been lucky enough to spend time with the MP Vader and it really is cool. Here's a pic I took of it with my video camera, not the best, I know.

It's sitting on my old DP DLX Vader bust I used to have in my office and the cape's just made for the bust, but the helmet and chest are MP...

B&W are silver based, in that way diffrent from dye-colored color negatives/postives, so that the infrared "scratch-detection-prescan" can't get through.

I think ICE even won't work on Kodakchrome Slides for the same reason of silver based chemical process.

I remember the auction and I wish I could say that I was the lucky buyer as was going to bid up to $5,000 but ended up going out that night and forgot to place a bid, doh! It was in Melbourne where I used to live but moved to Tassie and I was going to fly over to pick it up. I thought it went for around $1,200??? All I can say that it went for a ridiculous low amount and weather or not what's it's worth is still a great piece of history and a bloody cheap suit. I remember seeing this Vader when I was a kid and was just in awe of it. I wanted to buy it more for sentimental reasons and regret not placing a bid on it. I send out my best wishes to the lucky buyer and I hope that you love it as much as I would've. Cheers, Andy.

I sent your best wishes to him and he say's thanks :) Yes he does love it very much too. Oh and it's not being stored in a closet...lol.

Cheers,
