The Mandalorian (TV series)

So the comics actually showed that Ben didnt start the fire at the temple and didnt exactly kill everyone there....as far as I'm aware we dont know what did it...
so...maybe Grogu did it?! lol

be interesting topic tonight

Can't wait for...

proper screencaps of Luke's saber to come in! At a first glance it looks different from the TLJ version, more like an idealized MoM version. Windvane gold color looks surprisingly accurate!

Great episode. Strong work again from Peyton Reed in the director's chair.

THIS version of the show is done.....think of the Mandaolrian as a telenovela...a few seasons of story...then its on to the next story...... similar, but different..... Rejoice that we got these two seasons, fan$ervice and all. We can see now that it was one big pilot story for that huge load of crap disney is going to shove down that sewer pipe of D+

The sad part is, he wasn't the last jedi...?

Kanan was still out there. Ezra is out there. Ahsoka claims she isn't a jedi, but she still technically is. And may I point out...probably the most powerful one there is, even more so than Luke. If Fallen Order is canon, Cal is still out there.

And Grogu.

Yoda also felt "another" as in Leia..so what I'm saying is...SW has always been full of plot holes.

he still is..

Ahsoka was never knighted a jedi, she left as a padawan

Kanan was knighted a jedi by yoda via force zoom.. but kanan died saving his friends

Cal was also a padawan

Luke is the only official jedi knight, knighted by yoda

Everyone else may have more experience or power then luke.. but they don’t have the title

That’s all it is is a title..

CelticRuins During the episode, I was also like "WTF, Bo, you accepted it from Sabine...."

But then it occurred to me, she may believe that not "winning" it from Sabine contributed to it being taken from her, so I think that's probably the case here.
Idk kinda seem like a biiiit of a stretch.. sounds more to me like classic Filoni getting so caught up in his fantastical fangasm moments that he’s starting to contradic himself on a core story writing basis. If he makes rules like that he cant really just ignore them when convenient..
But he’s already doing it with the numbers of “jedi” immediately post Empire so its w/e I guess..
Being a Jedi used to feel more like a spiritual state of being.. now its just a badge you can choose to wear when it serves the “story” ($$$$)

Highlight of the episode... Slave I using them rotational nose canon for the first time since 2002
Well this was actually a rather good episode. Likes the way it ended overall. Fun seeing Luke again. liked that his fighting style wasnt app prequels jumpy crap, though CGI face was a little strange the first go around. I like that they had the balls to end The Child portion of this show. Its a good place to leave this portion of the story off and for another to begin, and a wise decision I feel.
The dark troopers... Why the punching through everything?? Cutting torches just not a thing in SW anymore?
As for the "Book of Boba"... ehh.... I'd rather him do what he's always done in the legends. Come and go just as he has in Mando. Frankly if anything I was hoping for a standalone film done in the spirit of the old Man with No Name films for which the character was inspired by, and directed by someone competent and candling antiheros like James Mangold. But we'll see where this goes I guess... Also his flamethrower is now on the right?? Did Episode 2 just not happen where jango used his on the left? eh screw it this shows so up its own behind i've largely given up and am just enjoying the ride for what it is lol

So, what happens to Grogu when Ben turns on Luke, kills the apprentices who won’t follow him and send Luke into exile?

This is what I said a few posts above.

My only idea is that Din did promise he'd see him again. Since the events that take place at his Academy, are roughly 20+ years down the line, I think we might see Din come get him? Or he's dropped off?

I literally can not believe that Disney would let their giant cash cow, that is Baby Yoda, go for more than a season. He damn near made that show.

I think it's been covered earlier, but Ben Solo did NOT destroy Luke's school. It was Smoke/Palpatine doing it from afar, in an almost identical way that Yoda destroyed the Force Tree on Ach-to.

Ben then simply left with some surviving students.

Cal is knighted by Cere Junda towards the end of the game. She did renounce being a jedi after her padawan was taken...so I don't know how that works.

It's Oprah up in here today...

YOU GET A PLOT HOLE! AND YOU GET A PLOT HOLE!

as far as academy fires and things like that go. That was just the first time an academy with multiple students was made. There could have been individuals trained and helped prior to, and outside of, those confines.

Just wait until the Obi-Wan Kenobi show starts retconning the Prequels and Clone Wars. If you think the OT defenders whined about the ST, then watch out! You'll have a whole new group of pissed off fans. Just saying...

It was everything I've been missing since TFA. I love how they made him move like Vader in Rogue One, the scene was such an awesome partner to that scene. And having him cut through the droids instead of actual stormtroopers was perfect. I've wanted to see Luke be a total badass since I was a child. But, having him cut through actual people like Vader did in Rogue one would have been unsettling, even if they were imperials. The setup with the SW terminators, and then have Luke display all the power of his father but all light side was such a fantastic payoff and climax. Complaining about how it interferes with TFA or the CGI feels kinda crazy to me. To my eyes, the ending was absolutely perfect.
