My Tales Of The Empire Barriss Offee sabers

I know I haven’t posted here in eons. It’s been a long time since I had a lot of interest in props. Been a member here since October 2000- wayyy back during the EZboard days, and old timers will remember during ancient times I was even a moderator when we were on Cliff and Nikki’s server. Seems like a lifetime ago.

I had a huge lightsaber collection, but sold most of it years ago. And I used to do mostly custom sabers.

Finding it hard to keep an interest in anything since my wife died, it feels like there’s really no point, and constantly distracting myself by burying myself in things. Really nothing to look forward to. My new obsession since last October, is lightsabers. Again. So I’ve been buying and building like crazy…

With some of the really cool sabers from the animated series, I think I’ve found a new calling. Too bad there’s only a finite amount of them.

My two most recent ones, are from the tales of the Empire episode “Devoted”, which has a handful of cool sabers. And in the tradition of Saber Armory/KR Sabers (“Loth and Found”), I named them “Offee’s Lesson” and “Dante’s Last Stand”. Although Dante’s Fall or Dante’s Infernal would be funnier…..

I’ve also done Sifo-Dyas’s saber, based on “The Lost One”, from Clone Wars.

They’re all solid machined aluminum, and made to hold 3/4 inch acrylic blades. I’m still old school lol. I don’t love electronic sabers, though do I do have several baselit versions. I just love the feel of solid sabers. My problem with modern chassis-equipped saber replicas is, accuracy is usually compromised for gimmicks:/

The black is Aluminum Black, polished or scotch-brite’d to various degrees. And I learned from experience to rub it in, never soak it.

Anyway, here’s a bunch of screencaps, and pictures of mine, with a few comparisons….

I definitely remember you man! Sorry to hear about your wife. Not the same situation, but I know how a death can impact a hobby. I've been around here, but just getting back to building things after four years.

Those sabers are sweet! I really dig the more esoteric designs that most people don't cover!

Really sad to hear the news about your wife's passing:( As Sluis Van Shipyards said, the impact on your life and hobby can be quite significant.
I really like your collection! Very well made:cool::cool:(y)(y):love:

Thank you, man. It really made me abandon two of my major collections. I just don’t even go into my mancaves anymore. The sabers are here in the living room.

You’re right about the more esoteric designs. These are three of my favorites that I had to have. I did about 50% of the work on the “pick up saber”, because whoever made it, thought it only had two buttons and that was it.

KB’s pickup saber, Kelleran Beq’s actual, and Nari’s from Kenobi.
