I made a small modification to improve the shape on my helmet. It definitely shows its lineage but I feel they are a bit narrow ( thin from side to side), so I modified it to be wider. Here are some beauty shots I took this morning before starting my work day:

I was thinking these looked a little 'off' (not wide enough) and thought maybe it was the camera angles. I hope RS Props will address this if this is the case.

#18 reporting in. The helmets have a good width, I think. Hard to capture with cell phone. Seems like lens distorts width... Mine is wider than appears in this photo.

That's quite a difference on the mouth "grill" (is that the term for it? not the frown, the black center, chin ribbed piece)

Are you guys displaying it in the stand with the star foam liner in the helmet, or without it? Would there be any issues with the foam discolouring the abs over time ?

Hi guys just wanted to get some opinions on mine, I’m not sure if I’m being OCD or not

On mine the teeth from the centre to the right Have more white paint at the bottom than those on the left.

the centre one itself has the grey paint angle up from the bottom left and it looks a little uneven.

Are any of yours like that and would you consider it an issue with the finish, I was just expecting a perfectly even teeth paint job with the hero

As for the stand, I got that off of Tom Spina Designs... it's their flocked mannequin head with base.

Actually saw one of the Facebook pictures on their page with similar teeth finish, after posting that, I’d say some are more exaggerated that others with being hand painted, there’s bound to be small variations

my OCD needs a rouge 1 perfect one lol

I wouldn't worry much about it. They were often uneven on film!

quick comparison. I'd say the widening mod does the trick:

(slightly different tilt and different paint shape on the frown/teeth. Yet the result and the lineage is evident)

Why does RS not put mesh in the frowns of any of their TK helmets?
