RS Hero Stormtrooper with Screen Lineage (first edition)

As for the source being a Tie and not the hero scan from Gino/EFX here is what supposedly is that scan. Notice no rectangle cut out as the Tie/RS have.

I’ve been looking at buckets for decades but sorry, I don’t know what you mean...”rectangular cut outs”. Thanks

If anyone has received one of the hero helmets from the second run I would be interested to know if they have addressed the width issue? I contacted RS a couple of weeks ago and they replied by saying that as far as we are aware the helmets are correct. Dunno if they ever acknowledged that there was a problem with the earlier run.

There is no "width" issue. The faceplate IS as wide as it is supposed to be. The difference is in how some are assembled. This is the only factor causing people to believe their helmets are too thin.

Depending on how the parts are put together, you can achieve a sea of variation... But when they're the ones assembling it for you, that also means you won't know what you're going to get until you get it. If only they offered kits.

**Edited for clumsy fingers

The latest batch of helmets are all assembled by Rob himself , and are as good as originals.
Kits are never going to happen .

Rob assembled mine to match the original efx had access too. The assembly was good and definitely has the correct width. Happy with it overall.

The only thing that bugs me is the way the teeth were trimmed and how the frown is painted on mine (wrong shape and the grey is too dark). Those areas do not match the helmet it is assembled to represent, therefore throwing off the look I was after. Obviously with the amount of orders they get, they are limited to how much time they can spend fussing over a helmet... That's why I personally prefer kits to build myself. I still love the helmet though and definitely would order another if I could afford it.

I don't quite understand why "kits are never going to happen" though. I do recognise many people are ripping them off now with recasts.. and that is a shame. However realistically if a person has the skill to mould, cast, and vacuum form.. I believe drilling out a couple of rivets to do so would also be within their skill set.

Rob is the only one building stormtrooper helmets at the moment ,and for the foreseeable future , but if you want to stipulate this on your order , it can't do any harm .
