G'day, it's been ages since I posted anything here. I am currently working on a Dalek NSD 'costume' which I hope to have finished in time for our school's halloween costume party. I'm keeping a build a build log on ProjectDalekdotcom: https://www.projectdalek.com/index.php?/topic/16616-dalek-vaay/

However, my next project will be even more ambitious. I am considering the Robot from Lost in Space, but I would prefer Robbie from Forbidden planet. I've seen resources for making the Lost in Space robot (original TV), but I'm not finding anything for Robbie. Does anyone know where I can get templates, or STLs for this? I think I will need to start this asap if I am going to have it done by October next year lol. Two costumes at once, oh boy lol.

I have blueprints somewhere, I'll see if I can find them. My understanding (take that with a grain of salt) is that Fred Barton was and may still be VERY protective of Robby, so something to consider when building one yourself.

I'd be excited to see progress on this, even if only to see someone else's approach to the dome ;)

Hey mate great to see another Aussie robot builder

I believe Ian Hughes on patron.com has Robby stl's if you join. I have seen a number of people making great B9 robots with his files.

I haven't used his files, but from the pictures they look great and well thought out.

I think there was a guy in England that made an amazing looking Robby that I chatted with recently. If I can find his contact info I will pass it on. He might be a good resource. He owned a shop that did professional work.

Thanks for your response and offer to help. Let's just say that this is for 'educational purposes' as it will be primarily used in my school, if indeed I do go ahead with the project.

Wow, thanks so much, I've seen Ian's work somewhere, perhaps Thingiverse, but I don't recall seeing Robby, or B9, I'll definitely check him out, thanks. If you do find that chap in England again I'd sure like to connect! Thanks!
