Re: Tomenosuke & Sidkit style Blade Runner Blaster Steel/Stainless Steel/Aluminum bar
Earlier this week at work, where the mill is, I inspected things and not only was the fixture off by a a couple of blonde ones, but the mill head was in need of readjusting as well. I found this out after setting up for some unrelated work and not seeing a smooth surface after the end mill finished the cut on some scrap. It wasn't that bad at all, but off is off. This only added to the issue with the fixture. The mill was brought back to zero and put to work. It's been running almost non-stop since Tuesday. CNC is a great thing.
I also sent out the dividing head for refurbishing since there was an issue with the 90* not being 90* due to some slack. Got that back this morning and it feels new. The machine shop next to me does this kind of stuff, so they were able to knock it out quick and for almost nothing. We sometimes make or customize parts for them and don't really charge them either so it works out.
I'm working on finishing up the replacements for those with the issues first, and will get back to the stainless blanks that I LUCKILY didn't drill holes into. I had forgotten them at home when I went in with the rest of the steel barrels to slot and drill them.
I'll update again soon...
