This is the latest project that I'm working on....

The Punisher (2004) Pistol Display

I still have to install the muzzle brake compensators and paint some select parts, and add aluminum pegs. But you get the picture of where I'm going with it.

The M1911s are mostly metal spring airsoft guns. The Punisher pic is my own photochop..

The 1911s are just generic airsofts (about $15 each). They are all metal except for a few small parts. I may change these out with gas blow-back versions (about $100 each). The muzzle brakes are being machined for a real 1911 out of Delrin and replace the barrel bushing. So fitment may be an issue. I'll know more when they arrive.

If you go for the gas blowback versions later, look for ones that come with the treaded barrel for a silencer or have a cheap upgrade available to the threaded barrel. Make the comps longer than needed so that you can slowly remove material off the back to get the comp & slide to match up. Then finish machining the comp to profile etc.

I still want to build a custom 1911 similar to the 2004's movie, but I can't find any local gunsmiths that will do anything but just basic part replacement. King's Gun Works still offers the full profile comp kit used in the movie but I've heard a lot of stories both from the movie and on gun websites about frequent jambing with King's kit.

looks like it'll be good, i'm an airsofter and i cheaped out on my 1911, got a cheap chinese made compensator so it'll be cool to see a professional job :D

Your shadow box displays are great! You have inspired me to follow the same route. Thanks for the pics!

I know this is a Zombie thread, but But i'm actually starting a similar project, but I'll be using real Kimber Custom II 1911's, and I wanted to add that on gunbroker.com you can find Custom Punisher grips that are black/black and have the skull. The general consensus is that they also fit airsoft 1911's.

Sarco Inc sells the compensators, but they won't fit a standard 1911 from what they've said.

That looks really good. I always appreciate seeing what fellow collectors do to display thier pieces.
Now, if I could only find a movie-quality Punisher shirt...
