The P1 in this movie had real character. I really felt like there was a "person" in there. That's quite an accomplishment.
The cloaks sparking during the impacts of the fight between the Preds was great.
Favorite shot: the Pred decloaking outside the derelict ship.
Yeah I noticed that as well. The P1S had some perceivable depth to him. This was noticeable even with the short screen time granted him.
One of my favorite scenes in the film was of Royce returning to the captive 'classic' the second time around in order to question him on the whereabouts of the ship.
When the Predator raised his head to look at Royce and I caught a glimpse of his eyes, it took my breath away.
You could see in his eye that there was something there. There was no mistaking it, you...we, were seeing a sentient, intelligent being. Yet at the same time the eyes still held that “Feral” aspect of the P1S's nature, which was evident when Royce cut him down.
Instead of kissing Royce's feet out of gratitude the PPS immediately, almost reflexively took Royce in a throat hold...That **** made me jump out of my seat! I was like
“Oh ****! Preddy's gonna **** Royce up!!!!”
The P1S's body english was also good, it was clear the two were activly 'communicating' on some level.
Yeah the P1S was intelligent, no doubt about that and honorable to boot. I was impressed at how the P1S didn't hesitate in giving Royce the ship. However, I feel that the P1S's honor and intelligence shouldn't be taken for granted, a guy just can't get him out of a pinch and expect to all buddy, buddy with him, he's still very much dangerous.
