Make sure you've got a good connection to the 9v battery clip. It can be weak if not soldered or securely glued in place as it is quite a small area. The wiring diagram definitely works though.
I think Taff83 actually posted his pics up way back in the thread, i think that was before one of his shoes blew up!

A thought just occurred to me - if you could get the right cloth to match the upper, glue it to some thin foam, you might be able to make a glued on 'cover piece' joined under the strap, which would go over the silver vinyl on the 'wings' and stick out to about the same level, which seems to be what the RD's have, or at least it would look more like it. Hmmmm.......
They look like slightly better HCs. There are more pictures if you click the description from the link in a previous post. The upper part where the pull holes are and the white collar are made of a shiny leathery looking material instead of just being cloth.

Yeh, look OK for the price, if that vinyl can be covered, then of course put on all the logo stuff.
But for those of you who want it easier and are going to make your own straps anyway, this is even cheaper than I got my V2's when they first came out!

Why are the black versions $335USD. I still think they should do an all PVC vinyl shoe in this MAG for $60 again. At least these have a way more accurate shape than the HCs.
DragonGalvy, I did find what appeared to be a matching cloth to my V2s at Spotlight. I bet it wouldn't match that well if added to the shoes. Your idea of 'skinning' them has potential. You could even add the back seam...

I can still get them for you at the price we spoke about if you want. Since I bought quite few pairs last time the seller will give me the same rate.
Holy crap! 150. Wonder if he would actually deliver at that price. Never seen them discounted that much. Wonder if this is the beginning of the price drops for the V2s. They had to go below $250 eventually...

I would put money on this being a no. If anything these shoes keep getting more expensive.
You get sellers on taobao now and again with really low prices. If you buy them they will send a message saying they just heard from the factory and the price is higher than expected. You can pay the extra or apply for a refund. Jokers.

Yeah, same here. And this same seller has two stores with the mags at $150.

The name is appropriate because that is exactly what I thought when I realized what they had done.

I'm still pretty new to the game. What shoe is the most accurate for the best price? V2? Does a V3 even exist? For my first pair I went with the HC shoes. At the time I wasn't aware of the V1's, V2's, etc. So compared to the Nike Air Mags the HC's seemed like a deal. After gaining more knowledge on the different versions that have been released. Things about this shoe have started to bother me. Especially knowing there are better versions to be had. For example... the oddly shaped holes, the puffiness, thick laces, and short ankle cuffs. I've done the basic mods... toe slim, added the logos, and changed out the straps. I'm thinking about painting the mid soles, but that's about as much as I'm willing to do personally. Changing out the LED's sounds daunting. Although I may not have a choice eventually. The shoe looks a lot better, but still not accurate enough for my liking.
I realize that no matter what shoe I end up with mods are inevitable, but what shoe is the best starting point? Can anyone post a link of where I can safely purchase a pair? Is the link posted on page 58 of this thread what and who I should be buying from? Thanks in advance guys. Just a guy needing some direction. I'm so envious if the members here who have the more accurate higher cuffed shoes with the triangular holes. Makes a HUGE difference. lol
