Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

My charger and parts came today. Went with a charger that has a LED indicator, I like to see when stuff is charged/charging. Charger is a 5v 2A, and the tips are 2.5mm x 0.7mm. These have an 11mm tip compared to the original charger which only has 9mm exposed. I doubt this will solve the issue on my shoe, but at the very least It will make it easier for me to plug in the shoe. This would fix your issue if your charging port is too far in the shoe though. I don't like the current connectors rubbing up on the fabric so tight.

Would this charger work? it's the same specs of yours. Thanks in advance.

If you are using it to charge 1 shoe, ideally you'd have 1A since 2A Is overkill. Now that doesn't mean it will charge at 2A. Thankfully most lipo batteries circuits will only draw the current they need to charge. So for the shoes, assuming each shoe needs 5v @ 500-1000ma it should only draw that much from the power supply...even though that power supply CAN output 5v @ 2A. So yes, that charger should work well and it is an angled plug which should make it easier to plug in.

awesome. thank you. i may shave some rubber off it to make it even easier.

Exchange? How do you mean?
We are already seeing the soles turn yellow. Wizard is already in the process of creating new clear soles. I will be updating my work with this once I get my shoes. I have no doubt others will want to change out their soles.

The glue I was testing didn't hold very well...removed it (thankfully only did a small test section first) and going to try something better. Also still trying to perfect the right amount of blue pigment. This batch is mostly clear, with just a hint of blue. I have never owned the RD, but I think I like this the best. Here's a quick pic before I try the proper glue...as you can see the ankle bubble mod and the icy sole makes a pretty noticeable difference.
Wow, now tha you've opened these backs, could you look what materials are used under the fabric ?
Can you take some closeups (and / or macro) of the white material and tell us if it is fabric or foam or something else ?
really curious about that as i made several uppers but can't figureout what is the best material to put inside them :/

thanks

Its a hard foam, soft enough to leave the imprint of your fingernail...but not much softer then that. Then there is a white mesh type fabric between that and the grey fabric, which is probably there to absorb/spread/reinforce the glue I'd imagine.

@001FAB awesome comparison. Damn, those V2s (that we idolised) look bad now.

That's a tail-light. It has a headlight too. :D

Funny what you find when you go looking for insoles. Actually, if that price is real I might seriously consider getting a pair.

Here's what a real one looks like.

Thnx!
They once looked amazing for most of us, but this indeed shows the huge difference between the both unmodded versions.

I really think the V3's are great shoes.
Could you imagine having these back in the 80's/90's [emoji41]

I do hope they're tinting the soles a little and improve those EL's.
Other than that they are near perfect IMO!

WOW it uses a small actuator to pull in the front part. I bet air port security will love that and all its metal bits.
I'll pass for now :)

Sounds like the stuff I pulled out of the toe box on my V2s when i did a sock toe slim. It is thin weave/low thread count, but is used to "stiffen" the fabric so it holds its shape.

Good to see you got your lights back up and running.
