I still see stuff I don't care for, but I dont expect I'll ever get perfect. These look pretty good I think.

They wont send any photos of the internals :unsure I am sure the inverter/battery have to be in the heel of the shoe like the V2's? I also heated the bottom of the soles a little and tried picking at the edges of the clear sole....yeaa I don't think I will be able to remove it without without ruining the clear sole. Mine are definitely dim as well. They must be starving the inverter to try and get extra battery life.

Someone just sold a pair of these fake v3's for $2,000 tsk tsk tsk

Jeez. The biggest giveaway is the 11 written in black marker on the box. I feel bad for whoever won the auction.

Then again, the auction specifics don't say they're authentic. So the seller has carefully written their listing, however the auction title says nike.

If the buyer reports them as knock offs, eBay will ask them to destroy the shoes before they'll refund their money. Seems like a shame, but that's how it goes.

Exactly, they don't call them "Authentic" but just calling them "Nike" mags implies they are genuine "Nike" the sellers know they are fooling people into thinking they are genuine. Heck, even having the "Nike" logo on the strap is enough to lose any case. Who will pay $2k for fake shoes. The sellers better be careful, because you're right. eBay will sometimes tell a buyer to destroy the shoes if they are fake and refund the buyer. The seller will be without his shoes and out of his money.

This seller is selling them at $900.
After long debate, he skyped to show the shoes on camera.

THEY ARRIVED!

I lucked out. I never got to see QC photos before they were shipped, but thankfully they're perfect (aside from 2 tiny spots that you only see if you're right on top of them). They arrived in a white, non-descript box. The shoe box was partially bubble wrapped inside. It was no surprise to me that the box was a bit beaten up, since that just seems to be standard operating procedure for these boxes.

The Sticker on the box wasn't as high quality as I'd assume the RD Mag box sticker is, but it gets the point across. Truthfully, the box isn't a big issue to me, since they'll be displayed either on a Hover Board or a top Doc Brown's yellow plutonium anvil case. Jury's still out on that.

Unfortunately I didn't get the poster, but did get the little metal placard (although it was terribly beaten up as you'll see in the pictures below).

Enough about all that, here's some detail pictures!

The one thing that immediately caught my attention when I put them on was that the soles slope inward. So it made me feel like I pronate when I walk. Much different from V2s. As for size, I think it's dead on. My V2s felt huge and these fit spot on.

Other observations - the on/off button was hard to find. It's a much smaller profile button than the V2s. I like the fact that the ankle cuff is stationary. They're much more low profile than the V2s. Not puffy looking/feeling at all. They're also more comfortable. The wire leads that connect to the strap EL are not visible on my pair. It looks like that is one of the QC issues that people should be looking for.

Brightness: I thought the brightness was good. After hearing so many complaints I really expect it to be dim. But by comparison to my V2s, I think it's acceptable. I also think that the brightness difference might be related to color of EL strip in the soles. My V2s were a darker blue than the V3s. But also, my V2s were LED and not EL in the soles. So I think it's just two different products that work differently. I'm not a fan of the frosted heel light cover. I think it causes too much diffusion of the LEDs. Oh well. These shoes are still going to turn heads, guaranteed. With or without lights on!

If anyone wants to see specific parts of the shoe, let me know. I'd be happy to take more pictures.

Fab... Why would anyone go with a different seller right now? David is proven to ship shoes

Not sure, just to compare.
I'm keeping my options open.
But my biggest fear is customs.

Anyone outside the US gotten their shoes?

001FAB Thanks! I might have taken a bunch more, because...they're FREAKIN' MAGS! But I figured these pictures would answer most questions people would have.

Now I'm just waiting to see how long it is before they end up on alibaba or aliexpress being used by other people. haha.
