Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

image.pngIs it worrying that sneakeraheads website is suddenly not working!! Or it's my internet

After seeing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssj62VNDX04

Not too impressed, $300 more and looks to be same as David's in the actual video.

Those EL look terrible indeed.
But I must say I'd never expected them to actually make the shoes.
So I'm pretty happy with the result except for the lighting.
But are we ever satisfied? :)

I think this is better than most licensed props that came out so far.

I just hope the lights last longer than the 3 days I got from my V2s.
Hope they last a while as well. I was lucky and my V2's lights stayed working for many months before finally failing.
(of course, I didn't wear them everyday either, thinking they were the best MAG replicas we were ever going to get)
Sure that was late 2012 or something - I was one of the early buyers, probably up with Jedifyfe and yourself. Though I didn't do quite as many mods on mine as you guys.

They wont send any photos of the internals :unsure I am sure the inverter/battery have to be in the heel of the shoe like the V2's? I also heated the bottom of the soles a little and tried picking at the edges of the clear sole....yeaa I don't think I will be able to remove it without without ruining the clear sole. Mine are definitely dim as well. They must be starving the inverter to try and get extra battery life.

here's one of the early shots we've seen, in the background you see an open sole, and the battery slot more to the middle (under your foot arch - a much better position than under the heel)

I like seeing them using plug connectors instead of crappy soldering like my V2's had! I think the soldered connections were the failing point on a lot of V2's!

I'm busy at the moment, but I will absolutely post pictures and my personal thoughts.

So how do you like them man ?!

They're fantastic and are true to size. I do have some defects though that I will cover later. And if size 7.5 were available I would have gotten them, 7 would have been too small.

Can anybody post pictures of the shoes on feet. If possible with different angles and also framed with some legs (all "on feet" pictures are taken just above the soil and we can only see the shoe...and we all know how th shoe looks by itself...)

I was late to the V2 party. I didn't get V2s until July 2013 (belated self birthday gift) so my pair are about 3 years old now, and considering how much I've worn them, held up better than shoes I have bought from NIKE or Reebok.

Unfortunately, no. That's just a silly request. I'm not even sure what the point of asking for a picture of that is.

The grey of the MAGs can look very different when worn with light or dark coloured jeans. In the film, MJF has quite light blue jeans. There seems to be a fashion trend right now that seems to see people wearing darker jeans.

This is what is after by 'showing more knee".

I understand that, but without first hand knowledge of the color of the jeans it's still a total crap shoot. Plus lighting can alter how something looks as well. It just seemed like a weird request. lol
