All I see when I look at quality pictures of the V3's is stripes. That fabric is so stripey it's ridiculous. But that alone wouldn't keep me from buying them. The real deal killer (for now) is that the EL is dim. That's REALLY disappointing. They shouldn't look good only in a dark room. No one needs **90** hours of run-time. Not even 20. 10 hours would be PLENTY. No one will wear their shoes longer than that without having an opportunity to charge them.
So many people have talked with this David guy, or "know" him or whatever... seems to me like it wouldn't be impossible to get him to re-visit the electronics and adjust or swap something out to get brighter EL for a reasonable amount of time. We're all under the impression that these shoes are getting made slowly, not already being cranked out by the hundreds/thousands, so switching out an inverter or whatever it takes should be totally do-able. Can someone talk to David about this?
As awesome as the shape and splatter and all that look on the V3's, $600 is a hell of a pill for dim EL.
