it may not work on moving items like shoes, but years ago when I built my model kit of the Enterprise-E, it was possible to buy a transparent coloured spraypaint which coated the inside of the nacelles (which in the model kit were completely clear) - then when lit from inside with a white light source, they glowed red and blue respectively (i.e. the light came evenly through the paint). I think the paint came from Toyworld, a store which also sold some model kits (not sure of the equivalent in America, though)

Bought some new sock liners for my pair today and it seems that these US9.5s are indeed 10.5 as the US10 sock liner is smaller than the MAG sock liner. I also added some loop under the inner side of the strap so it can't stick to the tongue anymore. It makes tightening the shoes a bit easier too. The strap can't slip because it still held in place on the outer part of the collar.

I can't believe stupid people are buying the link when they can just do a little research for themselves online.

They are also selling plans for hoverboards and including the artwork file to print out the graphics. Wonder if they stole that from the free paper props section?

When the V2's first came out people where selling the link for $15 and people where buying them.

people are so lazy, that all they know is to go on ebay to buy stuff, when there are so many online shops and other places where you can get the same goods for less.

Got my 2nd pair of V2s today. Not as good as my first pair but too worried as these will be on display in my cinema (which is quite dark) anyway.


Apart from the lights not all working, the ribs on this pair are really bold. I have not flattened my 'wear pair' and you can see quite a difference. Out of the 4 shoes, the left of my first pair is as close to perfect as I could expect with the others all having something not quite right.

I also did that velcro mod on my wear pair which cost a whole $1.40 and makes accessing the switch and adjusting the strap really easy now.

A shoe repair stand in my local shopping centre. They cost $16.95. They are slightly darker grey than the originals so look good inside the shoe. They have extra padding under the ball and heel and have a really big arch support (which is what I asked for). They slipped right in with no trimming required as they were actually slightly shorter than the US9.5 MAG sock liners.

If they can deliver that shoe, yes I would buy them right now. We all know that they won't be that shoe as that is an image of the modded RD MAG [black with gold] that turned up a while back. Notice the SWOOSH has once again been photo-shopped out.

If these are a black version of the current shoe, can we call it a V3?

More bad news about my "go" shoes. Now the whole right shoe has lost power and there is what appears to be condensation inside the bubble of both. It is winter here, so gets cold at night. I've been wearing the shoes for quite a few hours last night and most of today. It was when I powered them up today that I noticed the right shoe did not light up. I am guessing for the whole shoe to be out, it is an issue with that battery in the sole.

I know right!? As cavx said, they probably don't actually look like that anyhow. But I guess its good that they're heading in the right direction for a proper V3?
