Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

When I ordered vs when shipped? I received notice of shipping on Friday night. I ordered them about a week before that.

Must have been exactly when I ordered mine! Ordered on the 1st, shipped on Friday! What time did you receive them from DHL?

you can give WU cash, use a card, wire transfer, wampum...

not what I meant.

Here's the basic shape comparison between his and the V3. For anyone going to use his as a replacement to their V3's you'll want to order smaller because of the shape. This is a medium (for size 10-11 US shoe I believe) and this is the V3 buckle from a size US 10.5, I am not going to use his because I don't think it looks good/fits well on my V3's....but I was curious.

I think what happened when he made them, was people got their ambitions and abilities mixed - IE being able to mold and cast. This is why he never did the all the sole parts. You can't just wear the 3D printed parts. People thought you could.

The medium part clips over the V2 buckle and I used that part for most of the life of my own shoes until I made my own smaller parts. It was too big, but I justified because the cuff and swoosh were also oversized. I made my first set of clear soles oversized and it seemed to balance up.

Nice Pic. You can see the curve I was referring to. The V3 seems to have a slightly flatter ankle piece, Clone props version is slightly oversized, a smaller version would be better.
Its a kind of weird shaped part in any instance. I wonder how they made it back then in 1989. It doesn't seem an easy piece to copy!

I am guessing the same way I did mine. Sand away until you have a smooth and as close to symmetrical shape as you can get, then mold and cast. I used different layers to allow me to see the contour lines as I sanded mine. Once happy with the shape, I made a 2 part mold and the same part is used for left and right. I also made "master parts" that can be boxed up to make additional or back up molds.

By the time they were ready to release the 2011 shoe, they would have 3D modelled it and reversed the part for left and right.

Doesn't explain why they flattened it though.

What do you recommend cleaning the back buckle with? Their are a couple scuff marks on mine and when I took a bit of warm water and toilet paper, it kinda just smeared it a bit and didn't come off. I have Mr Clean Magic Erasers, would that work?

Is it the rubber buckle or the 3D printed part?

I have 4 of the printed buckles and they are not ABS as acetone cleans them without eating them. Do a tester first.

Uhm it's the back of the shoe, the part that's connected to the Nike strap. Not sure which part that is. Assuming the 3D printed part?

Mr Clean Eraser would do the trick? Or?

be very very careful using acetone or the like. The magic eraser is your buddy. If it doesn't work try Angelus Easy Clean. That stuff is amazing. If it still remains, then you can try any other cleaner, but I would move towards repainting them.

ETA - My Mags are here. My wife is rolling her eyes. I am in hog heaven. I will do a full on review with pictures tomorrow, time permitting. Thank you all again for pushing the envelope on these! Thank you davidjones888, these really are the s***!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck! Lol if I ever get these, I wouldn't go anywhere with them before putting on a nice layer of Crep Protect
