Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

Good review man! Do you charge them while they're on or off? And how long should you leave them plugged in for?

Than you. I charged them while they were on for a bit last night. That was so I could stare at them in all of their glory:D. I left them overnight to charge without the lights on. I wore them all day today without any issues. I left them on at my office all day (approx. 6 hours). I did see that the right shoe turned off before the left side. I was able to click it on again, and it did light back up. So, I don't know yet if my pants' cuff accidentally turned them off or if something else is going on.

So I guess you can charge them either on or off? I read somewhere that David said you only need to plug them in for like 4-5 hours for a full charge. I think it was Reddit.

Yeah, I'd be putting a 4 hours timer on them. The last thing I want to see is a smoking MAG because the battery got too hot from over charged.

I officially have the worst luck in the world. 2nd time wearing my Mags out and a milk jug falls, and gets drops of milk over them. I went home and added a bit of vinegar and water together and gave the milk spots a little scrub with a cloth. Sitting outside to air dry... I don't think I've ever been so angry in my life. Will they dry and go back to their original color? Or will those spots forever stay a darker gray than the rest of the shoe? I knew I should have bought that crep protect yesterday.

I don't know about the milk. My heart goes out to you man, I know the feeling. Best of luck

Angelus Easy Clean would be my go to solution. A "home remedy" is one part blue (must be blue) Dawn dish soap to two parts 3% (make sure it is 3% NOT the 30%) hydrogen peroxide. Shake it thoroughly. If you are going to make some and store it for future uses then it needs to be kept in a blacked out container like what the the hydrogen peroxide comes in. A touch of baking soda will give it a boost, but really isn't necessary. Grab a toothbrush and go to work. Don't use force when scrubbing, tell yourself you are in for the long haul and do light scrubbing. Pat it dry, work it again, pat dry and on... Slow and steady wins this race.

Same me disclaimer as always, test an area first, and only you are responsible for jacking up your kicks. (Angelus absolutely will not mess them up, but the Dawn bit works pretty damn good)

Just received my request for the tracking. About how long before I receive the qc pics? Can't wait!

I think my QC pics came in about a week. Dude, your hands are going to be shakin when you start opening the box! You will have to change your username to Ralphie Parker.

Thanks bro.. They're already looking a bit better, but definitely not 100% yet.

Alright, so the darkened grey colored circles where the milk spilled are gone now that they've air dried a bit, however, you can very faintly see a circular shaped border kind of like a coffee stain as seen in the photo.. But it's only really noticeable if you look hard enough and in certain lighting and definitely not able to see it in a photo. Anything I could do about that? Should I do as you suggested with the dawn + peroxide + baking soda? Or is there something a bit simpler I could use because I don't exactly have dawn dish soap right now. Also, should I go grab some crep protect tomorrow and put it on before I try cleaning again? Or after?

DO NOT put the Crep untill clean!!!

Order this, wait until received, then execute your well thought out plan. You can do the Dawn solution, but Angelus is in a whole other class. You have time on your side. Use Easy Clean until it's what you want, then seal with Crep Protect.

So I'm 100% sure that my mom using vinegar + water was a bad idea.. I should have just used water and dabbed it.. But I honestly had no clue and didn't know how much time I had to work with so that's what happened. After leaving them out to dry and then dabbing them with just plain old water and drying them again, here is what the left shoe looks like. Pretty sure the vinegar caused that big circular stain because the milk that dropped on the shoe was no where the size of that.

In certain lighting it's pretty much not noticeable, but in the lighting I took the picture in, you can see it pretty clearly. I'm going out for my birthday on Saturday and was wanting to wear these. So I won't be able to get that Angelus in time most likely. So do I chance wearing them out without crep protector? Or do I just put the protector on anyways and be safe rather than sorry. I could always just not wear them out til I get that cleaner, but honestly, I really wanted them to wear out for my birthday. Thanks for your help btw.

^Its nice to see replacement electronics, but at $150 for that set...hopefully @davidjones888 will eventually start selling complete electronics too.

Those are from David Jones. David should be selling them direct to everyone I think shortly from what he said.
They are already providng the LEDs and EL panels, so everything else on their website shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe David jones can clarify.

Has anyone else received the replacement EL panels yet?

Have you tried the following?

Use some laundry detergent powder in some warm water and use a cloth and try clean the stained patch.
Then use some standard dishwasher liquid in water and scrub. That should hopefully clear the stain off.

I am with cavx on this. Sesame Street taught us there is no sense crying over spilled milk, but for you we will make an exception.

If you live somewhere that allows you to walk into a store and buy Crep, then I will bet they have some shoe cleaners that will allow you to rock them on your birthday. I would not use the scrubbing caps that sometimes come on top of sprays; the plastic cap are too stiff and can do more harm than good. Generally, the chemical spray/foam in the can is fine to use, just don't use the built in applicator. You want a soft shoe brush for scrubbing. Go and look at your options wherever shoe polish is sold. Don't over think it, just get a soft brush.

Most likely your "ring" is from your milk or vinegar, but don't overlook the possibility it is hard water deposits. Grab a jug of distilled water to eliminate that chance if you work the laundry detergent method. A page or two back I posted a Nike Talk thread that has great cleaning tips, sole collector forums has an entire section on cleaning. REMEMBER, GO SLOW! If you feel stressed while doing it then you need to stop and calm down before starting again. It will be fine, trust in the process. Cheers (well cheers, but lookout for anything splashing out)
