No problem.
Glue stains can't be removed on fabric that's why it's important. The rest of the shoe looks really well made and I'm pretty sure the fabric is the exact same color on both shoes, it's just the light

Thanks, I'm just a little concerned with the crooked strap on the right shoe and I'm not sure if the color difference on the fabric is due to lighting or visible in person.

It could just be the cardboard tube they put in it, making the strap look crooked. And they didn't bother to adjust it. Kind of like when you put on your shoe and have to adjust the tongue.

It is highly unlikely that they would make it from two different bolts of cloth. Any perceived color difference is probably lighting.

That's what I thought as well and since the ankle buckle is glued that's a big deal.
That and the glue spill lead me to ask for another pair. Thank you guys.

Also seems to have a mild impression and a dark spot.

Still. You could just put a small dab of paint.

Do any of you brutally honest people have a reasonably quick solution for my inner vanity to remain intact and not have lumps in the ankle straps?

Yes it is. It is hollow, flexible and you could simply replace the buckle with it. What I am curious to see is the shape difference. The CP-3D part is supposed to come from a 3D scan of the real shoe. The parts I have (medium) have a very decent curve to them. The parts on these V3s look very flat in comparison.

I think the Cloneprops Ankle piece was made in 3D from screenshots and images. I don't think he had access to a real pair, hence why there are some differences, but hardly noticeable.

You are right about the V3 ankle piece. Its too flat, and doesn't have the bulge at the back. If you look at the side profile on any pair, you can see straight away the difference between a 2011 pair and the 1989 shoe. Most won't notice it, but I can see it straight away.

Agreed. Even back in VHS days, when you could hardly see the fine details, it always looked "padded", not just a flat plate. Now in HD, the curved are easily seen.

Here's the basic shape comparison between his and the V3. For anyone going to use his as a replacement to their V3's you'll want to order smaller because of the shape. This is a medium (for size 10-11 US shoe I believe) and this is the V3 buckle from a size US 10.5, I am not going to use his because I don't think it looks good/fits well on my V3's....but I was curious.
