Wow she has been busy.
This is actually pretty cool, but I can see her getting hammered (by people that have never even looked in to the mechanics of a power laced shoe) for having a box on the top of the laces. At least she got the size down. You might almost be able to fit that under the CP 3D printed buckle to control the strap. The main laces would need a 2nd unit and the soles are not thick enough to mount the box in the battery cutout.
The idea of interchangeability is good too because you can then attach it to your favorite shoes. If NIKE or another company actually manage to make a power laced shoe you will face the "I like it/hate it" style of the shoe with the fact that the electronics will be built in.

speaking of the 21st, anyone else going to watch the triple feature at a cimemark theater?!
and i had to drop $36 to send those pos sport versions back. that's more than ems was to get them here and was my cheapest option and that fkr better not trying to skip out on reimbursing me for that!

So for those that care, here is my first gluing test using the vacuum bag to hold everything in place.
Ignore my oversize splatter, it is just layer 1 for the texture. As I go over this with fine strings, they will fill in most of the big holes. Notice I have used white under the clear here. Both shoes are in a bag and setting up. The problem is these bags don't seal 100%, so I have to hit them with the vacuum clears every 10 or 15min. Gonna be a long 6 hours unless I can work out how to fix this because the idea is really cool.
With the shoe placed close to an edge, the bag pulls down better and helps hold the base of the parts around the shoe. Even with the air evacuated, you can still slide the parts if you need to make a final adjustment, then give it another hit to get the last of the air out and pull the plastic down tight.

I've already said that if we get power laced Mags this year, I'll eat my lenticular hat.
...I just don't get why everyone is so confident that something will happen with literally ZERO evidence. The only concrete thing Tinker has ever said was that they'd never release Mags again. And meanwhile two quotations that say nothing have been used as proof.
So I'm going to eat a hat when hell freezes over, what are you going to do when nothing happens one the 21st?

I get this was aimed TheNickFox so, what do you FreddyTV cough up when they don't?
And right now there is so much mis-information out there it is not even funny. YouTube video after video all speculating the release of the power laced MAG this year and we have quite solid proof that NIKE won't be doing that, certainly not as a general release and certainly not for a price like $400.
Then we have that (former?) dude holding a shoe with a tag date of October 21, 2015. Does it mean anything? Then the guy posts a photo of some loud carpet with "its about time".
If you have reliable information, you should share. That is what a community of like minded fans do and why these mod threads even exist.

If he got an email from NIKE, then all owners of the real MAG got one as well. And I have a few of them as friends on Facebook - I got hacked yesterday BTW, so sorry for anyone that suddenly got inappropriate messages to their page
