Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

As a big FU I almost want to stick a random pair of shoes in there and send them back. See how they like it.
LOL from two different pairs of different sizes :)

So I am at it again. I know many don't agree with this method, but it works and as I always end up with some left over rubber when a clear sole pour, might as well use and not waste it.

So yesterday I bought a new jar of white pigment and added grey progressively until it colour matched my previous batch and now I won't be running out for some time.
There was about 30 gram of clear left over, so mixed the grey in and then threw it back into the vacuum chamber. When I my wear pair, I would let the rubber stand for about an hour to allow it to go into a gel state. The 2nd run in the vacuum chamber seems to have fast tracked that process allowing me to work with a tacky gel without waiting.

The left shoe looks a bit rough but it will level itself out as it cures. I will need to re-mix my splatter mix as I am almost out of that too.

The tongues on this pair still need to the trim, but were attached to the base of the factory tongue when the toe was opened up. I also fixed (not perfect, but improved from) that last toe mod that was a bit crap.

The seller messaged me and said...

"have logo need 245$ regardless full refund"

To which I replied

Full refund INCLUDING return shipping.
You are dishonest and untrustworthy. You steal money by advertising one product and sending something else. I specifically asked you to show me a in hand picture which pair they were because I wanted the Nike version. You LIED and sent me a picture that wasn't even one you took. You told me "Dear,as shown" knowing you were going to send me see the other pair. I asked you to protect the yellow box that the Nike pair comes in and you lied again saying they were "double boxed" when you knew there was no yellow shoebox because they weren't the Nike version. And they were even the wrong size. I would NOT have bought these from you if you were honest and I had known they were the sport pair like I made sure to asks for varify first.

I had also ordered from (Aliexpress.com) "Hapiness Guest House" Seller_ ming wu.
The Order was "Shipped" and several days after the tracking number still not worked. It said that the Chineese Post did not receive any shipment on this tracking number basically.
I contacted "Ming wu" again and he replied to me that my "Shoes were detained by customs, I can send you a pair of again, or you submit disputes, I a full refund to you"
I took the refund and am waiting to see my money soon again hopefully. I will update this post when anything changes.

Anyone knows a seller they have received the right product from? Is there another place to look than aliexpress.com or eBay? I need a size 9.5/10 and it would be cool to mod them myself...

Just a follow up pic since I posted with cream on. This is after two applications 9 hours total. Again I made extra effort not to hit it on the mid sole and it still affected them. I'm going to do the inside pieces and skip the pieces underneath. I'm beyond pleased and may not have to tint them blue now.

But I will definitely have to paint them.

The soles look great. How yellow were they to start off with? I tried retrobrite on mine quite awhile ago and while they looked good right after I removed the cream, the effects were very short lived. Within a day the yellow color came back and looked no better than before the cream. Hopefully this stuff works better

So you put the Angelus Sole Bright only on the clear part (I saw your previous pic) and it did that to the grey midsole? Yikes! That's powerful stuff.

the clear was pretty yellow to begin with. basically the same as any pair of hc's that have been posted. they mid sole had NO yellow and that is new from using the solebright.

yes, only on the clear. wrapped it with plastic like i saw on the tutorials. and bam, yellow.

I wonder how long it lasts?

i hope for a while. i will be pissed if it turns back after a day.

Day two of rubber application (grey and splatter) to the US8 mods and I am reshaping the heel cups to be more rounded like I did with my US9.5s. The difference is that I have taken the part off the shoe to do this, so when it goes back on, will have a nice sharp seam line on the base and not look like the parts have melted together.

Really small window to get the splatter done before it just clumps. I guess the beauty of this is that I don't have to worry about wanting to get each mod done so I can wear them because my feet won't actually fit in these.

I also picked up my order of that synthetic (micro-fibre) leather. I got white and grey, though the grey is quite dark, too dark for MAGs. None the less, they should look good when done.

I seriously can't wait for nothing to happen on October 21st so I can feel multiple years worth of vindication.

Remember when people said that they would be release on September 8th 2015 because it was on the time circuits in the "commercial"? Whah, whah, whah...

And?

Agreed.

October 21 might just be the biggest anti-climax since the introduction of Hi-Def TV (in Australia it is total crap anyway).

In honesty, I might have been one of them, yet by the time September 8 rolled around, I'd forgotten all about it.

I'm calling it now. When nothing happens by the end of the year someone will pretend to have an "inside source" who reveals that they missed their deadline due to supply chain issues or technological ones, but that they are still hard at work on them. Or that "Nike Higher Ups" axed it when the development appeared like it would miss the October 21st release window.

These sites will never admit that they just make stuff up, they'll just make up MORE stuff to cover their tracks.

Even if they do somehow manage to fit motors into a shoe, they won't pull the straps as fast as what we see in the film and that alone will be enough for most to call "FAIL".

With a servo motor that speed would certainly be possible. Don't want to keep people's hopes up but I am still in the hopes they can pull it off if they want. Hope they do want ;)

As I've pointed out elsewhere, a shoe with that level lot electrical complexity would be a customer service nightmare since they'd be SO fragile.

From that logistical point of view alone, it will never happen.

I remember hearing the auto lace would help elderly and people with stuff like arthritis and Parkinson's and they wouldn't have to tie their laces. Buut I seriously can't see elderly wearing lit up high tops, or spending giant amounts of $$$ when they can easily buy velcro shoes for $20. In reality, if the electronics failed in the auto lace version, I don't want to see another pair being chopped up in a repair attempt.

I think our best bet for a somewhat plausible power lace version would be sending Blake Bevin a pair of the V2's and working magic then have one of our modder's do their awesomeness and then add clear soles. Which would probably be pricey but most likely still lower price than Nike

Friction will be a huge fail factor here. Pulling laces that fast, that tight might be OK for a one or two lace ups per day. Come on, seriously, who would that much self control?

And why NIKE gave a limited 4 month warranty with ONE ONLY free repair. They know what the public is like with gimmicky stuff.

Truth! Even if they are young to middle age (as MJF was) they probably have to spend their money on medical bills, not power laced shoes.

Where did she get up to on that? There was three videos - first showed the motor mounted to the back and cable ties as laces. 2nd had the motor inside the shoe, but never showed if the shoe was even wearable. I did see a 3rd video, but have never found it since.

There was also a video with a string and spool attachment, but they never really showed where they had mounted this. It certainly did lace up pretty fast but again, not at the speed a stage hand can pull a cord through a false floor.
