Nike MAG replicas (V2 and V3 only)

The nike logo on V2's barely glows in the dark, don't believe this woman and probably don't buy in her shop...

Thanks Vormz. Thats helped me make my mind up with that decision. I new it was too good to be true. Are there any recommend trusted sellers? Obviously I understand they won't come with light up logos but I can find them elsewhere.

Maybe some other members could help you more than me cause I bought some pairs from Karin Chen few month ago and she don't sell anymore, sorry.

I decided to go with the Universal mags and a conversion kit from Mark. Can't wait to recieve it. My feet will be so happy

My HC Mags should be here tommorow. And I was just scanning there website again and never realised all the photos they show now don't have the ridges on the grey material from the laces and also the toe is more flat. Has anyone noticed this. If this is how they come then they are even closer to the real thing.

The ribs are gone, but they may still send you older stock with ribs. They have not altered the toe yet.

Surely they have to send me whats in the photo. Isn't that false advertising if they send me something different than the pics?

Never mind, I just read this in the description

PLEASE NOTE: Shoes received may or may not have stripes on the side due to manufacturing changes

Oh well fingers crossed. Not that its the end of the world anyway.

What's up guys? Long time reader, first time poster. I have owned a pair of Nike Mag V2's from aliexpress for a year now. I have pretty much all the parts to MOD them but I have just been sitting on it, waiting to commit.

I have ONE small question before I proceed. For the 3mm diffused LEDs in the bubble. Does the voltage matter for these? So far I have seen them on ebay with no details on voltage. but then another site where they say 12v 3mm LEDs. With a 9 volt battery, I assume these 12volt ones wouldnt work out? The others either dont say, or say they are 1.5-3 volt.

So, yeah, I don't understand resistors or any of that stuff. I was just buying everything that was recommended here, and was gonna go at it like a puzzle. Im very good at that kind of stuff, but the math for the electronics is not something I know about.

Thanks.

Ok I got my HC Mags and they are the older version with the fat laces and boot toe. I've ironed out the toe but gave up after an hour on the laces as I can't see any difference. Now one question, they appear to be rather large like moon boot size as others have said. What I would like to know is are the V2's like this or more a slim fit overall, as in less chunky? Thanks again

V2s are taller, slimmer and branded. That is why we (members here) buy them in preference to the HCs. Less over-all work and a more accurate end result.

Welcome to the forum. I hope someone else more in the know can chime in here.

Generaly speaking, LEDs with a voltage rating under 5V don't need resisters. Because you are going to series wire (+-+-+-+-) 4 leds on each row, even 3V LEDs will now behave like a single 12V (4 x 3 = 12). You then have 3 rows connected in parallel (++ and - -), so each row should be as bright as each receives the same amount of power, but LEDs don't always behave that way. I've run the 12 LEDs off a 9V battery and it ran OK but was got really hot. The purpose of the resister is to crease resistance to reduce amps which will in turn reduce wattage (V x I = W) and reduce the brightness, so if you get a case of dull green LEDs, then you can add a resister to the red and yellow runs. .

Assuming you don't get the brightness differences, from memory the chart shows 50K resisters for each run. Yet 50K/3 is 16.6K, so I have to question the need for 3 x 50K when a single 16.6K could do the same job. Less soldering and less space for sure.

I'd like to send some pictures of a V2 shoe to HC. I don't have V2's, and I can't find any good enough ones through image search. So I'm wondering if anyone has some pics they could allow me to use.

I'm looking for a pic of the shoe stock unmodified.....

The whole shoe, to show them the collar height and tongue.

And a closeup of the lace area that shows how the laces are stitched in there.

I don't really have a close up of the laces, but hopefully these will be of use. My pair BEFORE I hacked them up :)

Those should do great, Thank you.

I just keep talking about it forever to the guys at HC. This last time I was talking to them about the jacket and mentioned it and said I'd try to send pics of a V2. I got them, BTW. The jacket. I'll have that info posted in my jacket topic.
