Whats ts funny is that I get a TON of sneaker heads contacting me about the mods because they are pissed at NIKE and they know that the MAGs will not be rereleased this year. Oh well.

What I am meaning is that you are now in a publication, so who, knows, maybe Tinker reads this now.

And yeah, NIKE ain't gonna release the MAG this year which is a bummer. I would be happy with a no lights version.
 
I would like to trust Tinker HATFIELD for what he said but i think you're right guys, i mean they would at least make preorders or make big ads to let people know that it's coming ...

I'm going to wait myself for 21st October and see what happens, if Nike doesn't release Mags to this particular date, then they won't get my money, plus when you know the side leds and soles yellowing issue, i prefer to put less money in a v3 and upgrade it to know that you have shoes that will last properly.
 
Hey guys, i just wanted you to know that i contacted rephot to know if they were willing to make an upgraded version with customer's advices to make the replicas much better and they said YES !
The only thing is that to make an upgraded version they need 500 orders to put them on the rail.

So i am planning if you guys are interested to spend time giving them all the informations they need to make a "perfectly accurate and upgraded version" as Nike will probably not release the MAGs at 21st october.

Tell me what are you thoughts, should it be done because this time we will tell them our advices to make a version without any modification needed, ready to go and accurate to originals.

My goal isn't to make any single dollar of this operation and if they give me any $ each one i will go to https://www.michaeljfox.org/

Airair has been trying for a while now. But he went straight to the manufacturer I think. How much would one pair cost? I would be down for 2 pairs. Start an interest thread so this thing really cooks ;) It would be a good idea to request for electronics to not be installed to cut down on the price.

Actually guys, i am taking informations of the modifications wanted, to see with the manager the price that woud be the upgraded version, and the price that we could have if all rpf members make an order together.

Modififications that first come to my mind are :

1) Slim toe box, with improved toe box
2) EL pannels for the straps logos and soles
3) Anti UV soles, colored to very light blue with pyramid texture under the sole
4) Better wiring quality in general
5) Better LEDs for sides pannels
6) Lighter color for the heel cup and sole
7) Flat laces
8) Button that turns on light placed as official mags
9) More spongy soles
10) Higher tongue (i don't know if the word is correct)

Those things would be great to have but would probably make them very expensive seeing how the inaccurate V2s are still high in price. Two things that they should have out of the box are the slim toe and fflat laces. Everything else would just add unnecessary cost.

That's what i thought too you score a point.
It's a choice we have to do.
Soon, a new thread will be made with strawpolls to know what you guys want. "BUT" without any price idea, we have to think first of the perfect match product and maybe do better MAGs than Nike did with keeping the original look,then after see in details what makes the price going sky high and "maybe" remove it with making it easy for us to mod.

We never know, it cost nothing to ask them the prices in details and after see together what's the best deal for us. ;)

Slightly OT, I have always wanted a leather pair of MAGs and yesterday I found this amazing looking/feeling product.

So given I have a minimum spend with these guys, I am going to get all my supplies for this project from them.
