Howdy all!
I've been lurking about on the RPF for a while, but I tend to err on the shy side. I worked my way over here from a robotics point of view, actually. I'm currently working on The Iron Girl Project, which is an attempt at working systems of the internals of the Iron Man exoskeletons (HUD, suit data collection, etc). The end-goal will to be have a suite of applications that anybody can use to turn their own exoskeletons and armors into functional, computing machines. I'll be posting up a thread about it soon once I've gone over the forum guidelines and all.
Hmm, what else. Oh, yes. Stuff I've built. Well, besides building computers and servers (I work in IT), I've built a few robots. My pride and joy is Victoria, pictured blow:
She is/was an autonomous rover with wireless video, Bluetooth support, and a dual rangefinding system that allowed a very basic sort of waypoint navigation around a room. I saw "was" because she recently got scrapped for parts, since she was in my parent's garage in south Florida due to moving around and a good amount of oxidation occurred on some of the control boards. When I finally got it back, it just threw a small seizure with one set of tracks and died.
Also, as a sneak peek, here's some footage of the hand repulsor from the Iron Girl Project.

Sorry for the vertical video syndrome, I was too excited to film properly on that one.
Other props I'd love to make include a Fallout AEP7 and AER14, a personalized Borderlands sniper rifle, some of the Oblivion (movie) tech, and Catwoman's goggles from TDKR. Cosplays? Catwoman, Claudia from Warehouse 13, Zer0, and a Sailor Jupiter, one day. Projects for way down the line? A Tumbler go-cart and a Nostromo-esque cockpit for all my computer screens. Also, if you're curious, my blog,is over here at
LX1 Industries.
Can't wait to meet some of the awesome folks around here!
Cheers,
