Hello people of the world!.
First off my name is Patrick and I am from New Zealand land of the famous Weta Workshop.
I first got into prop making after seeing a video on YouTube by "DaFrontline Trooper" (check him out) on making a Halo 4 Battle rifle and from there have started hunting for ways to create the all the amazing things from my favorite video games and movie
I found therpf after searching for halo 4 pepakura files a couple of months ago (Although I only lurked here until now). I am fairly new to the world of prop making and have only started recently after spending a year practicing and researching. One of my primary prop making goals is to create one of every gun from Mass Effect 3 but not without the help of all the skillful experts of this forum. I primarily work with EVA foam for weapons and use pepakura and fibreglass for armor although on the occasion that I get it I do work with Styrofoam although I prefer not to.
I love how everyone on this forum are nice and helpful to one another and I hope I am lucky enough to get there advice on any of my future projects.
IMPORTANT
If anyone knows the length of the Mass Effect 3 Locust SMG could they please inform me I have desperately been searching for it as I am terrible at scaling guns myself.

hey folks, I'm in the process of building a Captain America costume. Spent enough time reading other member's posts, figured it's time for me to start participating.
I'm in my early 40s, and was a comic geek as a young teenager. Got back into it after meeting my wife, who is a diehard Batman fan. I would really love a back to the future 2015 jacket but have never seen one that I like so I have decided to make it myself. I have found RPF a great community for this, so I am here. I have all the other parts to Cosplay minus this jacket.

Hiya, folks!
Daniel here. Longtime lurker, first-time poster. I'm truly stunned by the level of craftsmanship I've seen while looking around the forums and aspire to reach that point sometime in the future. I'm primarily an artist (pen and ink variety), but I've been branching out into the ream of propmaking and cosplay for several years. I stepped up my game two years back by crafting a custom proton pack from foamcore, then revamped it again last year (I'll post pics in the appropriate boards).
A recent badge project brought me here, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you awesome cats!

Hello everyone-Angela checking in. I have been enjoying this forum for a long time-I finally signed up earlier this year, and am finally posting. I love looking at all of the great work on here. I have done some cosplay, but only very simple costumes. I am still able to get tips from this site even if my level of accomplishment is way below what I have seen here. My husband is the one with artistic talent-I am the idea person. I love to tease him when I see a cool character on television, I yell out "Cosplay!" to see his reaction. So far I have done Leela from Futurama, Daring Do from MLP, Chuck Bartowski, Penny from Dr. Horrible, Ramona Flowers (from the graphic novel), a minion from Despicable Me, and Fluttershy-also from MLP. I told you-all very simple!
I love going to cons. We went to Comicpalooza last weekend, will be going to San Diego in July, and Dragon Con in August. I try to attend the small cons in my area too-Texas Comic Con, etc. I don't cosplay at every con-at my age (late 40s) comfort is getting to be more and more important! LOL. It is fun to play around with, and I love seeing the great things that others create.
