Re: ** New Members: Please Introduce Yourselves Here! **
Hi, my name is Cory Alexander, and I'm posting from southeast Arizona.
I've always enjoyed building things with my hands, but I didn't really get into actual prop building until I joined the Arizona Ghostbusters. I'm captain of the Tucson chapter, and have built a few GB items since joining the team. I guess Ghostbusters props have been my priority for a few years, but I'm now working on a (mostly) 3D printed "Vera" replica (inspired by the fellow that made the CNC'd aluminum replica some years ago). I'd like to start a thread chronicling my "Vera" build, if anyone's interested... it should be done in a couple of weeks, because I need it for Phoenix Comic Con.
My list of major props I've completed include:
- Basic, 100%, barely accurate, scratch-built GB2 Proton Pack (pack lights only)
- Much more accurate fiberglass, resin, and aluminum GB1 Proton Pack (full lights and sound, signed by 3 of the actors)
- Modified Motorola MT500 radio (as used in GB) with a bluetooth speakerphone built inside (so I can use my cell at cons without breaking character)
- One of the first complete Ecto Containment Unit builds (including portable "wall" section for transporting and displaying at conventions)
- Ecto-AZ Truck (original Chevy Silverado mod for us to use at AZGB events... all temporary decoration)
I've kept and published build progress records along with "how to" information on each build on my Facebook page... some of these builds have YouTube videos (links below, if you're interested).

If anyone's really interested, I could re-post my build progress and other information to new threads on RPF. I don't know if anyone would be interested, of if that's something cool for a noob to do, but just let me know.
I also enjoy being a loving husband and father... and collecting vintage arcade and pinball machines.
It's great to be here!
